Addition by Subtraction - Dwill

So were the Saints

Don't remind me. :)

However, don't forget we have a lot of talent on the defensive side. We just need pressure on the qb, which we got. If our o line can continue to play like they have over the past couple of games we can be pretty good.

True, but Stewart has been running well for several weeks. He is far and away our best back now. Just hope he can stay healthy.

I'm not saying he's not, I agree stew has been our best back for a couple of years now.

All I was saying is their defense is not good by any stretch of the imagination.

A lot of factors to look at for our win over the saints. We did have some young players playing for a spot next year. We did have, what Jeremy has said, a negative attitude player in DWill. I have to agree with that as Jeremy is in the know. That makes a lot of difference in player morale, etc. Mostly we won because deep inside we are a great team. Despite the coaching.

With the offense that we want to run, Stew should be the starter.

I will say it again.  We have paid Stew like a no. 1, three down RB, let's make him that.

If I'm the coach, I'm running the wheels off of Stew for the next 19 games.  He would get every carry he's able until he is injured, or cuttable.

Amini was definitely addition by subtraction

Chandler.. definitely.

Dwill not sure.  I saw holes I haven't seen all year.  Hopefully it was a sign of things to come, and not just the Saints sucked.

Stew ran really well yesterday. Showed burst and was decisive.  But so did everyone, .. Cam was doing those 90 degree cuts on his runs yesterday.  That has been missing.  He actually looked like Cam.  That put huge pressure on the Saints DE's.  There were a few plays were Gallette and Cameron Jordon where frozen in place while whoever was running the ball just blew on by.   That wasn't the case even in the first Saints game.   Add to the fact the OLine was mashing.  Especially at the RT and RG position.  I saw more Oline in the second level than I have seen all year.

    • Maybe, but a player can also bust for a lot of reasons.  And I'm not about to go look up the stats of all the 1st round WR busts, but I'd be surprised if they had the sustained output and success in college that T-Mac had.  Those early WR busts are usually guys who had one breakout season and then were highly drafted because of physical potential, not already built out ability. I'm not even saying T-Mac is 100% going to have a better career than Chark (although I obviously think he will). I'm just saying that right now, his skill level and ability is better than Chark's ever was, and I don't understand how anyone is arguing against that, not because of T-Mac, but because of who Chark himself was.   If you want to take the argument that you can't say ANY player who hasn't played a down yet can't be considered better than someone who has, then so be it (even though I'd say that's a dumb stance anyways). At his peak ability, Chark was more like a #3 WR than anything else, he was the definition of a league average WR.  If you don't think a Top 10 selected WR with his tape is better than that just because they haven't played in the NFL yet, then you're just stuck on the "he hasn't played a down yet" idea and can't evaluate them as players and abilities.
    • And you would've probably said the same thing about a lot of highly drafted WRs who busted.
    • dude..........   You are way to emotional here
