nope, in fact Hardy made it quite clear during the offseason that he was willing to accept LESS money within reason to remain a Carolina Panther.

He said he was willing to consider it, but even that was in vague terms.  He talked a lot more about the team compromising for him than he for the team.

And what's he done since then that makes you take that notion seriously?  If he was really that willing, why did we have to franchise him?  Why didn't he just accept an offer?

More than once on his old Twitter, he talked about money being the big thing.  And he's never actually 'given' like he once talked about doing.

He's not coming back.

sure you and i both or anyone for that matter would include "consider" prior to knowing what the offer was.btw,i am not aware of any other offers besides the franchise tag?

no. if you are in his shoes do you feel like you've been punished enough? if you do.. do you fight for your reinstatement? I would

NFL just laid out the policy. You get paid leave until the legal process is finished.

There is nothing to fight

IF they do release him and Atlanta or NO picks him up I'm gonna lol at our FO. Small market teams shouldn't make such blunders when it's already hard enough. The NBA got it right. Heated disagreements like this happen. He's a 300lb pound guy, he obviously showed some restraint. He didn't go Ray Rice on her. Some people here had an agenda as far as this young man was concerned anyway. So be it.

Jeff Taylor as of now is here in town and is on the court. Some people think they know it all but they didn't just pay a guy 700,000.00 every Monday for 15 weeks to sit.

the saints might barely be able to field a team over the next several years with the way their cap looks.  how well does hardy project to a hybrid 3-4 DE/LB anyway?

atlanta is probably going to be starting over with a new coaching staff and i think them signing hardy is a real threat though.  that'd be a splash signing to keep fans interested after the switch.

either way somebody is going to wave a check in front of his face unless he gets hit with an actual prison sentence or something happens that keeps him out of the game for an extended period.  athletic freak and a former all pro at one of the biggest money positions in football in the prime of his career-somebody is going to give him a multi year deal with competitive guaranteed money.
