Anytime a GM trades up in the later rounds to get someone, you know that he thinks someone great fell between the draft cracks.

I don't think anyone questioned his scouting ability.

I think he's done well so far and I've never been on a fire Gettleman bandwagon but being great on draft day doesn't excuse mistakes or criticism the other 362 days of the year.

That said, he's a billion times better than Hurney.
