If the Panthers were to win on Saturday, would it be the biggest upset in franchise history?

Honestly, our three playoff wins in 2003 are probably 1, 2 and 3

EDIT: I distinctly remember reading ESPN.com the day before the Wild Card game vs. Dallas and it had a poll on there for "What headline are we most likely to have tomorrow?"

One option was "How 'bout them Cowboys?" but there wasn't an option for a Panthers win.

It may be the biggest upset in NFL history if we beat them.

Not even close.

Recent history....Pats over the Greatest Show On Turf in 2002 and Giants over the Pats in 2008.

Hawks are good but they are I will beat good or bad teams by 6 pts type good.

In terms of how good each team is, I agree it's not even close. But the way the media has hyped the Seahawks you'd think they are the best team in the history of the NFL in Seattle. And a team with a losing record beating the best team ever would be the biggest upset... But since they aren't the best team ever, you're right, no.

Was either win over the Cowboys in the playoffs an upset? We had better records both times, were at home, first game they were without Emmitt Smith I think, second game had literal Quincy Carter at QB.

2OT game vs. Rams is a good one, I had forgotten how they too were thought to be unbeatable at home in the dome.

They were fairly healthy for the 96 game coming into it. Aikman, Smith and Irvin all started. Although, Irvin would leave the game early because of injury. Emmitt had 80 yards on 22 carries. Aikman pretty much lost the game for Dallas with 3 ints and only 165 yards passing on 36 attempts. Some Cowboy list of worst losses still has this listed in the top 5. lol

To the national media, it was definitely an upset.

Help me out: What's currently the biggest upset in team history? Beating the Super Bowl Champion 49ers in San Francisco in 1995? Were we double digit underdogs to Philly in the NFC Championship Game? There was an upset win in St. Louis in 2000 I vaguely remember too. This would probably be it, right?

Hell yes !  This would have to be our greatest upset.

All I remember about the buildup to that game is that Barry Switzer said he didn't know where Charlotte was located.
