Jordan Cameron wants out of CLE

I'd love to pair Cameron with Olsen. I think he'd be a great downfield threat for our offense.

However, I suspect he'll end up somewhere like Oakland and Jacksonville, teams with a ton of cap space and young QBs that they'll be looking to put weapons around. Plus, being a year removed from a Pro Bowl season I'm not sure he'll be open to taking a backseat to Olsen as the primary target at TE.

We do have a bit of a indirect connection to him as his brother, Colby, was in camp with us back in 2013. We'll see though.

Yeah, too bad. I sure wish we had "a young QB that we were looking to surround with weapons"......lol!

And there is the problem...having 2 good TE with Chud at OC...good... 2 good TE with Shula at OC...a waste of a good TE...

Last time I checked there were about 16 ball still waiting for Dickson to finish his route. People talk poo about Shula but that's exactly what he has had to work with.

Dickson caught 10 of his 17 targets. . So you're saying what again. .

Are you implying Ed Dickson is a good TE or Shula would inexplicably ignore a newly talented player added to the roster.

You do realize Greg Olsen had over 1,000 yards last year, more than Greg and Shockey combined in 2011. Dickson's record as a receiving TE is hardly impressive, he averages about 200 yards a year.

Remember that Chud was the OC here when Shockey wasn't retained and Tolbert was brought in instead too. In 2011 Cam and the zone read were new to the NFL and thrived. Year 2 teams caught up, just like they did with RGIII in Washington. We ranked 23rd pass attempts under Chud in 2011, we ranked 19th last year FWIW. We traded explosive plays both positive and negative (Cam had 6 pick 6's under Chud) for a more conservative approach under Shula. Cam also only had 2 4th quarter comebacks under Chud. He has had 7 under Shula in the same timespan.

I would love for us to sign him if he is available for a good price. Having two good TEs helped Cam his rookie year. I just wonder if Shula would use two TEs like Chud did or end up wasting him like we did Dickson.

guess you missed the fact we had line problems so bad the both Olsen and Dickson were needed to block more.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
