Hardy Case Dismissed

In this case the prosecutor dropped the charges after the legal teams reached a settlement number that satisfied both parties.

Whether or not there was any additional paperwork involved or her not showing up just sealed the deal is a state specific question.

Either way, the hardy legal team clearly felt it was more beneficial to their client to pay to make her go away than to let the trial play out.

The way that I understand it, her legal team doesn't even know if there was a settlement. No one has talked to her. They are trying to save face

Hardy just got paid 16 million to sit out the season and used a fraction of the money he was given to pay off his accuser after being found guilty in a court of law.

He's not coming back.

Can you show us his conviction on paper since it is public record? No?

Didn't think so because it does not exist. You need to brush up on North Carolina law. Greg Hardy does not have a conviction on his record for this offense.

If she has been MIA since November, that doesn't exactly lend more credibility to the prosecution's case.

Certainly it is possible that he paid her to go away, but this case sounds like it was bullshit from the beginning honestly.

the moment she said her weed "flew out of the window", under oath, you knew she was no good

Since I have come to realize that the Huddle is made up of 60% lawyers I have a question......is that legal or some sort of witness tampering?

Probably legal.

Reading some legalese...

Whoever kills or attempts to kill another person, with intent to—

Whoever uses physical force or the threat of physical force against any person, or attempts to do so, with intent to—

Whoever knowingly uses intimidation, threatens, or corruptly persuades another person, or attempts to do so, or engages in misleading conduct toward another person, with intent to—

© Whoever corruptly—
(1) alters, destroys, mutilates, or conceals a record, document, or other object, or attempts to do so, with the intent to impair the object’s integrity or availability for use in an official proceeding; or
(2) otherwise obstructs, influences, or impedes any official proceeding, or attempts to do so,
Whoever intentionally harasses another person and thereby hinders, delays, prevents, or dissuades any person from—

etc.

I don't think giving her money satisfies any of those unless there were some threats involved. Or he hit her...

I am not a lawyer.
