Charles casserly on cam newton

Winston was being interviewed after his pro day on NFL Network.  A blonde female asked him about his past-when did he mature or learn his lesson (not her words, but her intent).  He responded, "When I had to sit out the Clemson game.  I knew the team was counting on me and they would blame me if we lost." (something very close to that).

I wonder what she was thinking?

I think he still doesn't get it.  I think he is smart and I think he is a good qb--but I do not think he has learned his lesson.  After what he is accused of doing, some remorse for his actions would be in order.  Some humility.  Lets face it--1 game for rape?  First overall pick and a multi-million dollar contract.  Lesson learned? I see nothing but self-admiration when I see him talk.

He has been coached on what to say, but he is one of the most egotistical personalities I have seen.  Expect him, once the dust has settled and he has forgotten the rehearsed lines that , to screw up again.

Some of you will disagree.  You would be wrong.  If he turns it around, I will be shocked and eat crow for it.  By the end of his rookie year, he will be back in the headlines for something negatively unrelated to football.

I wonder what his comments on Jemarcus Russel and Vince Young were

Russell was noted by many to be a prototype, and having the best pro day they had ever seen.

I never thought that he was a great QB, but had the body and arm to possibly be one day...much like Cam.  Difference is, Cam seemingly loves football, and wants to be great.  Russell didn't.

As you Young, Casserly is the guy who passed on Young to draft Mario Williams.  That should tell you enough.

Passed on Reggie Bush too.

I'm no Casserly fan, but that was one instance where he made the right choice.

It gets annoying that People in the media take every chance they get to take a shot at our qb and One of my favourite players when they are clearly talking out of their ass...

It does not have anything to do with Being insecure, but we Want our favourite qb and the face of our franchise to get credit where its due Like other good Young qb's Like Wilson and luck

you may want that.. I don't really care. The media proves over and over that they dont know anymore than an average fan, so why should I care what their opinion is?

    • I get it, but it's just like "dropping dimes" doesn't have a definition either but is saying the same thing. They're like what the Supreme Court said about Porn, "you know it when you see it" And I think you have to be watching with some crazy ridiculous Bryce goggles to think he was "slinging dots downfield" as the OP said.  I'm not taking anything away from Bryce for making the necessary throw in those situations and got two TDs on two 4th down plays.   But they weren't "sligning dots downfield" and they weren't "dropping dimes", they were pretty basic throws for any NFL QB, not even starting QB, just any QB.  They were 15-20 yard touch throws for the WR to run under it, with no safety over the top of them or need to let them get down in bounds.  They were in essence practice throws with no DB covering them, just in a high pressure game situation. 100% perfect throws for what was needed, which in itself is a credit to Bryce as he's struggled with that on easy throws in the past.  And hell, this literally might have been his best game of his career all things considered. But "slinging dots downfield" is just an absurd statement to say after today, sorry.
    • Idk, but I was just scrolling shorts and this video popped up calling the Tmac pass an “absolute dot” so, unless this is you, it seems like it might meet more people’s definition of “dot” than he thinks. Anybody crashing out over calling these passes “dots” really can’t be taken seriously on any Bryce Young related topic because he clearly affects their ability to think straight.
