Panthers dine with Shaq Thompson

I know if a waiter sees Gettleman sitting there they're thinking "fug, I'm not getting tipped for crap"

He'll get paid what he is worth. If he keeps hot bread on the table and the drinks topped off and doesn't disappear to go smoke a cigarette out back with the dishwasher, he will receive a fair and reasonable tip: 18% If he wants 20% then he might want to go to Dan Snyder's booth.

In all seriousness, I'm glad that the Panthers are showing interest in Shaq. He would fit our defense nicely.

'Bout time. This is my favorite for our pick at 25. he's a TD clone and the most versatile athlete in the draft.

whether it be as OLB or Safety, this guy would start and be an improvement from day 1. He would also take over TD's spot when he retires.

The best all-around football player in the draft.

Waiters love businessmen that expense dinners. More costly food is ordered and the tips are usually 20% or more since it's not coming out of the customer's wallet. Panthers will get to write the dinner off their taxes as a business promotional expense.

Win-win

We would be looking at him as a LB, not a Safety. He told media that everyone who has asked to meet with him has told him they are looking at him as a LB.

he's be a heckuva tandem with Luke and TD...plus he has coverage skills that would free up Luke for getting after the QB (something he says he wishes he could do more of.)

    • We agree here dawg. I'd love for Bryce to succeed as would all huddlers. I have not seen a single huddler hate Bryce for anything other than his play on the field / potential / skillset. He hasn't gotten any of the irrational hate having nothing to do with football that Cam got. And yeah I understood going into this season with Bryce again as there weren't a ton of options, but man we missed the fuging mark on upgrading at backup QB with someone who could actually push Bryce. Bryce had zero pressure on him with a 100% washed up Dalton being the only other NFL caliber QB in the system. That absolutely needs to change this offseason. Ideally with an actual starter upgrade but that seems extremely unlikely due to not having many FA options and a bad draft. But at the very least with someone like you mentioned, young/upside and/or day 3 pick in the draft.   Another note, we have a top paid and top performing OL, great young talent at WR incl. likely OROY, great RB group, average all around TE group, offensive coach with creativity in the system and good play designs (poor situational playcalling but still I put out current offensive coaching staff over Shula who held Cam back for instance). Not the absolute best situation for a QB to be in, but still a very good situation around him. And yet we have a bottom 8 offense (6th lowest points scored). Imagine taking a victory lap for a QB leading his team to the 6th lowest points scored in the league and the 22nd highest passer rating (despite being asked to do less than many other QBs; i.e. Bo Nix who isn't great either and has a slightly lower passer rating but Sean Payton actually lets him try to throw the ball deep and has him throw significantly more than Bryce). Crazy
    • similar to Atlanta and the NHL.  Atlanta has lost two NHL teams (and lost a minor leaguer).  Now there's another coalition pulling together another proposal for Atlanta to get an NHL expansion. While I'd like hockey to be back in Atlanta 'cause hockey is fun, I am skeptical that it'll happen based on previous teams' experience here alternatively: similar to Atlanta hosting a Major Tennis Tournament in advance of the US Open every mid/late summer.  Aside from the fact that Atlanta is said to be the country's largest Tennis playing city (with both USTA and ALTA, along with a number of side leagues) - playing tennis outdoors in Atlanta summer is miserable *and* they had difficulty attracting players... ticket sales were not good. So the Atlanta Open closed after 14 years.  They just couldn't make it happen, even if for all intents it appears to be massive tennis interest in the surrounding area.
    • So I saw where Luke was doing that show parallel to the game. Whatever it was, statcast something something, knew it would be a good watch. I don’t get ESPN any more but that would be one of the about few things I would watch outside of games.     He doesn’t fool around on the radio broadcast.
