Update: Charles Tillman signed by Panthers (official)

@DNewtonespn: Bears free agent cornerback Charles Tillman is in town making an official visit with the #Panthers, league sources told me.

@ESPNChiBears: Should add that Tillman and #Panthers have not discussed a contract yet. Still in early stages.

Useful veteran. Maybe could play some safety in some packages. Provides more veteran leadership for an otherwise young secondary. Ball-hawk that would excel behind our front seven.

That's probably the opposite of the plan. Tillman is 6'2" and fits the mold of big outside CB that Gettleman wants.
