David Newton has hunch, WR (or RB) in the first (a "WR in the 1st" feel good thread)

If Dorsett is there, he will probably be the best WR prospect to take at 25. Lightening speed and can play both outside and the slot. The more I read about him, the more I hope G-Man has him marked as a 1st round talent.

I warmed up to picking Dorsett, but he wouldn't be right for the number 2 spot, which is my opinion. I would still draft him becaise he would kill in the slot position. It would be no competition with his speed and quickness,  but would make sure I draft another WR for the number 2 position, one problem is who? and what to do with Philly Brown then. Could slow down other WR growth. Could Hill be the number 2?

The real question is, once the offense does have all the positions filled adequately, will Shula know what to do with them?

Let's hope history is wrong.

Depends what you mean by adequately.

If we had an Oline like Dallas does, I think Shula ball would work pretty darn well.

I mean heck, Foxball worked real well at times when we had a barrage of road grating linemen.

Honestly it's a good question. With two good WRs, maybe a runningback later on in the draft to spell Stewart, we're making the offense more robust, and if Shula still can't get the offensive performances consistently good, we've narrowed down our problems. If he can, then we know our talent was the issue all along. That's how you improve as a team.

I am not buying as our 2 guy until I see something with my eyes.  In reference to Hill, paper, theory and "hypotheticals" are dead to me.  It's time for Hill to poo or get off the pot.  It's time for Proehl, Shula and Rivera to poo or get off the pot, and get Hill some first team reps.

Admittedly, I may be reading something into nothing, but Gman seemed emphatic about updating the team with speed, even though Hill is on the PS).  That is not a ringing endorsement, and bespeaks to Hill's true chances to make the squad, much less be a number 2.

Would be over the moon with Perriman, dorsett, Gurley or Gordon.

I think the value for WR or RB is going to be to good to pass up at 25. These tackles are meh to me but I haven't watched much tape so I can't say with any type of certainty about the tackles

You will be well under the moon

The rage if we pick him and Perriman is on the board. :D

i have to admit that as much as i trust Gettleman, it would shake my faith alittle if he took a 2nd-3rd round prospect at 25 while Perriman sits there.

i would be one of the ones raging.

but i would also be one of the quickest to get over it, remembering that i am not an NFL GM and former talent evaluator. haha
