Where are you guys finding these Rivera and/or Gettleman interviews?

 

From the post-draft presser. I haven't seen the video, and I don't think it was streamed live, but I did catch all the quotes on Twitter. The part about the importance of keeping day 2 picks was one of the last things he touched on.

He never said they wouldn't trade up. He said he wanted a 2nd and 3rd round pick this year. He may move back up into 2nd or 3rd again.

Wouldn't have wasted my time writing the WR thread if I had known that he actually would trade up after saying that he wouldn't.

I guess that things got a little tight.  After Collins and both Smiths were gone, he got off his rump to probably get the only other round 2 grade that he had.  That's just my speculation.

This was probably more about keeping Funchess away from New Orleans and Atlanta than anything else.  Both need a TE, Panthers took him anyway.
