dude, have you missed the last decade of panthers football? Alge Crumpler used to kill us. The TE over the middle was a garanteed 1st down whenever you wanted it.

Oh hell, yes.  And Graham in particular.

 

Under John Fox, it was especially bad.  We never threw to our own TE and never stopped anybody else's.

Reference the Seahawks game last season among many others. Yes. It has been an issue. Shaq Thompson is gonna do good work and help our defense in many ways- based on his versatility.

Better hope our backs are able to always run out of bounds then, because the front five probably won't strike fear in most teams so that box is gonna be stacked.

 

Teams that stack the box will deal with Philly Brown and Ted Ginn Jr. burning them on the outside.
