La'El Collins may be in play after all

so, from what I understand the salaries of UDFA are all the same.  Do they all have to be a minimum of 3 years?

also, if the UDFA signing bonus pool is $88k for all of them, are any teams holding back on signing them until they can offer Collins as much of that as possible?

In two years when he's a free agent again I can see him signing a big contract with his hometown team or to some destination location, but in the meantime there's no team in the league that can raise his stock more than the Panthers. I can't think of a more nationally infamous o-line and if the unit improves at all it would make him a star at his position overnight. That's way more appealing than getting a ring on the bench or a short drive home in your first two seasons.

You should tweet him and tell him about the shithole he grew up in.

Me Twitter him about what is going on? You trolling, he is ready to move to the Queen City where the air is fresh and the streets are clean. Also, fresh start with repeat division champion with a upcoming elite QB instead of a dwarf size noodle arm QB that is on his downside just like the team. Enjoy the basement of the division after the levy breaks.

Not to mention getting his income in better shape with endorsements. Hell Bojangles alone!

Cam Newton hopes to become the QB Drew Brees has been through his career.

A levy breaking reference. If nothing else in life, I know I'll never be the classless tool you are.

I don't know why he wouldn't. Drew Brees is a Hall of Fame qb even if he is declining.

Despite what popular opinion may be.

If ya dont want to stir up the shitpot, why are you here again?

Don't stroll over here with your Saints BS and try to chide one of our posters for trying to run you off.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
