Patriots accused of cheating (redux)

Filming from across the street is legal, steroids have never been legal. Panthers were the only cheaters in that Super Bowl.

What part of that even sounds right to you?

Filming a teams practice, legal or not, is just poor sportsmanship. Watch the game tapes and learn from that. Don't try to gain an advantage by setting up surveillance and catching something a team has never run before.

I completely agree that it's poor sportsmanship. Everything the Patriots do is poor sportmanship, their leadership are garbage human beings. But cheating is breaking rules. Filming was not breaking a rule. So you can't call them cheaters for that instance.

They did cheat during spygate when they refused to stop filming after it was made illegal. But it wasn't in 2003.

Filming practices was illegal in 2003. Filming signals from the sidelines wasn't and that's what they got caught for in spygate. I'm convinced along with many Rams and Panthers players and coaches that the NFL had evidence of the Patriots filming those practices and they destroyed them along with the sideline films to cover it up because of how big of a stain it would be on the "honorable" New England Patriots who had just won 3 Super Bowls. Think of the damage that would've done to the league, since filming practices before the Super Bowl (twice) is significantly worse than what "spygate" technically was. Would've tarnished those Super Bowls wayyy more than "spygate" did and even more than deflategate added on has done. Now there's no hard evidence of that happening, but based on the testimonies of the Panthers and Rams after those Super Bowls, it's ridiculously likely that they filmed practices before those games. Which was illegal and would've had a huge impact on those (very close) games.

Between all this and them filming our practices before the Super Bowl, there may be no franchise outside of our division that I hate more than them

For me I think I detest the taints and cheatriots equally.  The rest of our division I cant get too worked up about tbh.

At this point it just seems like dumb fug is trolling. No one can have that much blind faith in a sports team.

Why don't you go back to your Seahawks forum before I split the nuts off the side of your face to the back of your ass.

I don't need someone to tell me poo stinks when I have a nose, and I don't need a rule to tell me I should do certain things.

Emotional midgets in here lol.

Emotional fanboy rant: Its all cheating .....EXCEPT PEDS which a majority of the Panther offensive line and J Pep was caught for before the SB...  But other than PEDS its all extra-cheating!!

DID THEY EVEN TEST THE AIR PRESSURE IN THAT SB GAME?

The Pats should have the NFL death Sentence on them for SPYGATE. Thats a Goddell and NFL coddling problem that should be vocalized more.  The deflated ball is the least of any cheating scandals IMO...it would not have changed the outcome of that Colts game.

However it does to mean there is not any substance on their side in terms of talent, coaching, cap and roster management that keeps them competitive year after year.

One thing worth considering...

PEDs are pretty much always an individual player matter. There was never any indication the Panthers were involved (especially given most of the guys involved were fringe players).

The type of cheating the Pats have done has been organized and perpetrated at the team level.

That's a pretty significant distinction.
