Why not put Mayo on PS? Seems like a project to me, plus who would snatch him? Id rather have Trusnik than this guy atm because of the elite special teams and more of a gallback if asked to play.

You think there is any chance Gettleman waives a draft pick this year and risk New England or another team stealing them again?

Fat chance.

Hopefully Rivera can see through his own blinders and make the right decision.

I have no trust here. He always seems to learn the hard way, when players are injured and he is forced to try other guys or when we lost games due to his stubborn / "play not to lose" decisions. I wish it was different though.

Yea I agree. Our 6th WR needs to be someone that plays special teams. I think Boykin and Bersin should be the 5th and 6th options. Hopefully Rivera can see through his own blinders and make the right decision. Cotchery has no place on this team.

There is a very good chance that our 6th receiver won't be active on game days so special teams ability is kinda irrelevant.  A lot of last year we only had 4 receivers active on game day.  I don't see us having more then 5 this year.

Personally I don't see us keeping Cotchery to fill that role.  If he makes the team I expect him to receive substantial snaps, especially early in the season.  As the season goes on his role might diminish as the young guys develop.

I would expect that 6th spot to be used on a younger, cheaper receiver that you might not want to expose to other teams.

    • I mean I think its a bit disingenuous to call basically anyone here a casual fan. I don't think the casual fan creates a profile then logs into it, in the offseason, to comments on mundane offseason topics.. I dont think anyone on here would be considered a casual fan. That said, I get your point. My POV is from the player. They sign this contract, move their family because of these contracts. When Clowney came him, we basically had a coming home party for him.  So yeah, I get why we did it and I know that ultimately the owner doesnt 'save' money, but I can feel for the human side of the player, which is why I want them to get all they can while they can.
    • My guess is the NBA will either send Flagg back “home” to the Northeast in Brooklyn or Washington, or San Antonio so that they can keep building around Wemby. If I was a betting man I would take the odds on the Spurs. This definitely feels like a #1 pick that they will rig.
    • In fairness, she is ensuring she is talked about.  People really aren’t going out there way to bring her up.  It’s some weird poo.  She would end up getting talked about given her actions if she was 40. Bill realizing some of these high end “companions” got a game of their own.  That’s what I don’t think Bill saw coming.
