Strip...Pers

Vernon Davis: Not so good at Family Feud

Tight end Vernon Davis may have created the most unintentionally hilarious video of their offseason, with one of the worst Family Feud answers in the history of the game.

Via The Diamondback, Davis was part of the celebrity version of the popular game show last night, in an episode pitting AFC players against NFC players, when he came up with his own version of the football follies.

When host Steve Harvey asked players to “Name something that follows the word strip,” Davis thought he had hit one out of the park.

“Pers,” he replied with a bit of a confused look, dropping a solid suffix but something less than a good answer.

Good job representing the Niners, Vernon.

He didn't say it had to be a word. Just something that follows "strip." It was the first thing that popped into my mind.

'Pers' doesn't technically follow 'strip' because 'strippers' is a different word.

I have no doubt they wrote that question with the idea that somebody would say that, though.

At the end of the show, in the lightning round or whatever:

Name something that is allowed to go fast through city streets...

...T Suggs' answer: Motorcycle. Nice. Just nice.

Ben Roethlisberger and Kellen Winslow II agree.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
