Matt Kalil?

Maybe I'm mistaken but didn't he get abused a lot last season... or sometime in the past?

He's gotten abused for the better part of his short carerr in the league. Not saying he can't turn it around, but he has been a huge disappointment based on his draft slot. 

Change of scenery and being reunited with his brother could do wonders. He would be at the top of my list to bring in if waived or for a 6th/7th round pick. If Gettleman is capable of bringing in players from DIII schools and no-names off the scrap heap, I would think that the potential of a 26-year old out of USC would perk his attention.

I was all for trading for kalil, til the viking opt-in his 5 year option. No way I want his 12/13 million salary for a guy that graded less than bell. Maybe in 2017....

I wouldn't want to risk the teams relationship with Ryan.   People don't always act rationally when family is involved.  We bring in and then cut his brother and maybe we mess up a good thing.

I think I like the idea of Matt Kalil better then I would wind up liking the actual Matt Kalil.

While it sounds good on the surface, there are an awful lot of potential red flags.
