thats cool...but these fat Marines...geez man...

None of them are fat but two are sloppy looking by Marine Standards.

I can't tell from the small pictures on my phone, but they're probably ROTC Junior Marines. If they're actual Marines, though, $100 that they're part of the Marine Marching Band.

No, they are absolutely Marines.  Who knows what unit but probably a local reserve station, probably not band.

I was just noticing the marine in the middle....

Those female Marines get more attention than they know what to do with.  They don't even have to be attractive, just female.  Pretty funny to witness from higher.

In the year he was with us before, Ginn dropped PLENTY of those kinds of balls in games.  So frustrating that we could have that speed and not be able to capitalize on it.  Hopefully this will continue, and Ginn can make a name for himself as a receiver and not just a return man.  Notice that Josh still goes after the strip once in Ginn's grasp (textbook), but Ginn does an excellent job of holding onto it with his other hand.  Glad to see Ginn can catch those over the shoulder lobs without letting it pass right through his hands.

A couple of those gladiators are built like a busted can of biscuits, but fat felt nicer to say. Also, I see the Active Duty "Good Cookie" so...not reservists.

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
