Sitting In The Houston Airport

So I'm sitting here in the Houston airport (wearing some Panther gear and getting stares) about to catch a flight to Charlotte and at this restaurant/bar (if you can even call it that) NFL Live broke the news of Mallett starting. A few fans here wearing Texans stuff started going nuts and looked at me and told me that "we better watch out and to pass it along to people in Charlotte". So here I am, telling you all we better "watch out".

After reading some of their boards...is this one of the most delusional fan bases you've seen? Literally saying we are a cake walk. Does anyone here actually fear the Texans let alone Mallett? Without Watt that organization is a bottom dweller. Wait a minute, they stlll are - aren't they?

The night before we played the Ravens 5 years ago I saw Anquan Boldin going into Del Friscos and I told him to watch out for Brian St. Pierre (I was joking.)

Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like these Houstonians are joking. Who knows man?

It's a virtue to be confident but a vice to be foolhardy. Let's hope J-No and Big Play Bene can make them all look foolish.

I promise you theyre, not joking. I'm surrounded by them. Mallett is better than hoyer, although that's not saying anything at all because hoyer is complete trash.

Remind them we got 5 sacks against Jax and their starting LT Duane Brown is a game-time decision........

    • I don’t know about floor in a team defense sense but we needed more.  The floor that I am familiar with is our QBs floor and it is so low that every other part of the team needs to be beefed up.     We tried our best to improve these things and I think we did improve the defense and we at least kept the offense  from sinking from no LT.  And ostensibly helped the receivers too.   So we kept a window open that we at least have a chance to improve our record by a game of two.  Which would probably give us the division.

    • Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)  There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.  And teams did not.    But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.  And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.   Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
