Other. Translated to All of the Above. It's all working together for him & I don't think he's had this much fun since his rookie year. It's all working, he fully understands it all, & I don't think his confidence in himself, his line, or his team has ever been higher. There's no quit, you can see it in his eyes. He embodies the Keep Pounding mantra better than anyone.

He's going through his progressions so much more efficiently now (partly due to the OL improvement).  But I felt like he sometimes locked on to a guy too much his first few seasons or would try to make too much happen at times, I can already think of multiple occasions this year where Cam has checked down to like an RB or Dickson this year and it ended up being a very positive play for us.  That's the biggest improvement I've seen in him.

Yeah, but watching practice you could always see Cam make the right decisions.  In the game he didn't because it seemed like on multiple occasions someone on the Oline would do something horrible.  He was always under pressure and it seems like everything suffered.  His mechanics, his decision making, etc.. He was getting pressure right up the middle and from the outside.

When the protection improved, you could see Cam's play pickup even last year.   I don't see any difference between last 4 game last year Cam and first four games this year Cam.  With a pocket we have seen Cam buy time in the pocket by climbing,  make accurate passes with touch,  making good decisions.   I think if our Oline would have been better all along then Cam would have "improved' much earlier.

I was going to put something else here too. In the 'other' option, trust should be one. He learned to trust his players more and realized that he doesn't have to do everything himself. He trust his players more, he trust his line to give him time, he trusts his wide outs to get open or catch that ball more. He also trusts in his legs more and uses them when needed. Trust is a huge factor in his development.

While I agree the o-line has helped him a lot, it does appear that Cam has naturally progressed to a stronger command of the offense. As much grief as we give him, this is why Shula is the OC. Consistency is so important with young players, especially QBs.

However, I think Cam is ready to move on to the next level. He anticipates and throws receivers open now with much better accuracy. Now, he needs weapons. I mean real WRs with speed that run good routes, create separation and catch with authority (attacking the ball instead of passively awaiting its arrival). But to be fair, this receiving corp has been getting better each week. Hopefully they're ready for their biggest challenge of the season with Seattle.

It's already been touched on but his adjustments when he gets to the LOS are really paying off. These guys watch film all week and and the know what to expect when the defense shows certain schemes. Cam is much smarter than the QB that was criticized for only looking at the sidelines at Auburn to get the play.

    • Another layer to that is Ive seen Seattle has been in the market for CB help this off-season.   Michael had a higher PFF grade than Horn who got 15 games this season. He wants to be here too, that's a huge bonus for any 5 win team that had awful pass rush.  The 7th rounder Michael Barrett didn't last long on Seattle, he was cut before the season I think and ended up on browns PS. He's already been on 5.......5 teams within one year.......
    • You have gave the board some recent gold via posting. Heres my poor attempt at the truthful play-by-play of the time during post- I pulled out the old laptop to do my shitposting and check on websites. Open the huddle and see this new thread. Open thread and read CRAs post, {inner thinking, oooOOooo this is my lane and I got this}. Make sure not to scroll even to the 2nd post. 23% of current neurons still firing start up and two names appear- Captain and Josh....... about another 43 seconds past "O GOD" it's July 4th weekend and I got medicine to pick up. (If the laptop didn't give away my aging, the meds should...) I need to split, think long panther careers and the hint-  Ryan Kalil was a late 2nd and Pro bowls(even all-pros too) he's got to be OLman and Mikie Minter is among the all-time Panthers career leaders. Drop my post. Scramble to get keys, wallet, and phone. Check my phone- its 17% battery.....fug I now have to raw dog the pickup line and put the phone on charge.... Flip flops, sweat ringed filled hat, and shades acquired. Get in my pos rav4 and think about not running the A/C. Pull out the drive way and reach the 1st stop light, A/C is wide open. I check my shirt to see if there's any new stains on my house shirt, bush off the Bojangles salt that I see.... Neurons re-fire and focus on the comments CRA made that no one would get this....... Dang IT, that means it isn't Ryan Kalil or Mike Minter! CVS is close, but I know its impossible I get back withing 10 minutes to change my post and my phone is on the charger. {Think you monkey, at one point you were a draft nerd}. Reach the CVS line, by some grace its not 5 cars deep during 5 o'clock traffic hell. Im second in line after the car in front of me both turn in, they have to go back and forth to line up while Im a pro for that geometry. Neurons finally reach peak performance as Ive re-thought draft classes. Think obscure and unknown 7th rounders with long careers. Some Sunday/Monday night member berry fell out of my Melon, Will montgomery during the players intros for washington. I thought he out of the league and was shocked to see him still playing around the 2015 years. I do a goggle background check and that refreshed memory. Pick up the meds and enjoy the sweet smelling cool CVS air. Driving back and check in on one of the local bums at the big stop light, wow he's got a new fancy rug. Think about all the old food I got and need to start giving it away and rethink it. Reach home and post a follow up and I know Minter is wrong too, I check the draft history and see Robert Mcclain. Too late, but that would have been my guess....open CRAs link and get "upset" at the DBs name.
    • THANKS my guy! Keeping up with this threads theme, if I view a thread and there's only 20 posts and some time passes. If I see there's one new post and read the name; @Dave Gettleman's Shortsis among the chosen few that I will reopen that thread just to see what you posted.    Thanks again, plus not just a scout, thats scotty mccloughans son?!?!? If not for the deep claws of booze, scotty is among the best talent finders this league has recently had. Last I heard he ran a consulting business. Caden could be one of those who's on a early path to being a GM in the future. I was a big fan of his dad, dam shame about booze demon ruining his career.
