Pretty accurate article. Our Linebackers were on point, Luke looks like he was never hurt. Our defensive backs got manhandled. My only variation is that I'd still give Cam an A, he played the best quarter of his life.

I would give the passing game a C for most of the game, Cam and receivers, but an A late.

Safeties struggled all day, D

The safeties weren't good, but the corners played great. You have to take the fact that they never even targeted Josh Norman into account.

Special team played really well I thought. Yeah we missed an extra point but I think special teams was solid and made plays all day other than that. 

I would give both of these a better grade.

I'll just add I'd give the CBs an A.  Norman's performance is obvious, but even Bene had a few good plays and Tillman didn't allow much (but did allow some.)

Id grade the special teams out a bit higher. I really thought we would be vulnerable vs. a guy like Lockette, but our gunners did a hell of a job being right on him at all times.

Coverage was excellent. Virtually the only thing the special teams did wrong was the missed PAT.

You can't really blame Coleman for that TD.  He was just on the wrong side of a great catch.

In years past that would have been the end of the game.

this team is completely galvanized.

Honestly even if I wanted to hate on or blame Coleman...he was in position and it was good defense...unlike so many wide open people behind our safeties....yes he jumped way too early and should have picked it off but it was just an elite play by the WR on that one.

Newton had a great 4th quarter but I'm not going to get into the Delhome logic of patting him on the back for just a 4th quarter. A B is a very fair grade. Newton had a few ugly throws today that were on nobody but him. 

He's a legit franchise QB and I know he's working hard to be the best, but damn he'll throw up some ugly balls once in a while.

I don't think the secondary play was that bad.  Graham had several big plays and was wide open to much.  The Cole play was well covered, but the receiver made a fantastic catch.  Other than that, the receivers were largely non existent and during crunch time, they covered well when we were blitzing.

There were a couple times I was really worried that Nortman was outkicking the coverage, but we always managed to make a stop after a reasonably short return.
