NFL rules state you can't switch helmets during the season in order to limit concussion risk because the fear is that in changing them some players may not get a helmet that fits as well as the they wear on a regular basis. It's probably overly cautious but the NFL really can't be too careful with the concussion stuff since it threatens the existence of the game of football.

The black jersey/pants by themselves look awesome. But with neon blue socks and a silver helmet the uniform as a whole is tacky as hell. 

 

If we went all black i would be for it. Not a fan of the blue socks.

Black helmets would look terrible imo. It'd be too much black, I really like our jerseys just the way they are. I was nervous they were going to tweak them when they announced a logo change but I was happy to see them basically stay the same.

Which is absurd because helmets have little impact on the occurrence concussions, nor are they designed to.

I believe, though I'm not 100% on it, that it has been shown that a properly fitting helmet lessens the risk of a concussion more so than a helmet that does not fit properly. Basically if it doesn't fit snugly then that is an extra collision your head can make when hit violently.
