Luck is good, dont underestimate him regardless of your personal feelings... Bradford had way too much success against us last night and Luck is a hell of a lot better than Bradford...Given our ability to squander opportunity and points this game is going to be close...

I feel a little differently about Luck now that we all know Cam has won the Newton vs Luck debate.  I'm actually very thankful for Luck refusing to come here.  That said I hope we step on his fugging throat next Monday, and the Panthers help contribute to a coach getting canned.

Anyone who thinks that Luck did not come out his junior year because he did not want to come here is a moron.

He stayed in school because he wanted to (1) get his degree and (2) wanted to have his senior year in college where he was having fun.  He knew (barring injury) that he could have both of those AND be the #1 pick the next season.

When making the decision, he listened to Peyton....who told him that he should follow his heart and that he could never get his senior year back.

Panther fans wanted to believe there was a conspiracy...but it was just not true.

Sources?

Moron is a bit strong....I mean that is what it looked like.

Cant help but LOL at the stuff being said about Luck. Man I wish those old posts were still around...because some of the same people crapping on him now were the most vocal about wanting him/jizzing their pants over him and anointing him the next coming of Jesus. Id love to expose some of you for the Luck nut huggers that you were.

Some of us remember those threads...and there was no less than 90% of the members here that insisted he was the next Manning (and he may turn out that way..but still) and now poo on him.

I want this one bad, and I'd love for us to embarrass them with Cam throwing 4 TDs and the def pitching a shutout, sacking Luck multiple times. He's a turnover machine, so hopefully he'll throw a few picks. I have no problem admitting I don't like Luck the football player. Outside of that, I'm sure he's a swell guy.

Cam and the offense have lost the turnover battle the past few weeks. Gotta clean that up

Top 10 picks that are underclassmen decide to stay in school all the time.  Many fans wanted to believe it was some great conspiracy against the Panthers (hell most on here think the media has some great big conspiracy toward the Panthers).  This was more about a guy who wanted to enjoy his last year of being a college kid and make a run at a national championship....and not a big FU to the Panthers.

And....I am glad he stayed.  I would not trade Cam for Luck right now.

Fyck Luck.

That is all.

back to our regularly scheduled circle jerk over the win over the Eagles.

R.I.P. Johnny Rockets, we hardly knew you.

you have no idea how ready I am for this game. As I said earlier I live close to Indy. The past four years I have had to put up with delusional colt fans who say luck is the best qb in the nfl. Fans who can't name one offensive lineman on their team. They still think Dwight freeney still plays for them. Every year they tell me luck is better than cam. Their team is way better than mine. Well f$&@" that! Monday night...bring it

You are entitled to your opinion.

But you are telling me that if there had been a franchise with the #1 overall pick that the Luck's/Manning's believed in that he would have stayed in school?  That is just naive.

I'm not even saying it was the wrong choice.  If I were looking at the Panther's with their leadership at that time and players and cap situation..... and then watched JR's news conference I would have thought twice also.

He stayed in school, the colts suddenly became the worst team in football, they draft Luck and suddenly have a #1 defense for his rookie year.

I don't need much more than that to want to have my team spank both Luck and the colts.

Name a team with the number one pick in the draft that isn't an absolute mess.

One thing that's guaranteed: if you are the number one overall pick in the NFL Draft, you're going to a bad team.

The notion that anyone would hold out in hopes of going to a "better" bad team than this year's bad team is kinda silly.

    • Umm yeah. When did he get it done at the right time? I seem to remember a 4-6 finish and needing Atlanta to win our way into the playoffs but whatever.
    • I mean....no lies detected. See above. We have traded a fortune to draft a guy #1 overall that people have lowered standards for to the point that not playing like Jimmy Clausen and looking like a poor man's Kyle Allen occasionally is worthy of a contract extension making him one of the highest paid QB's in the league. That is cope on steroids.
    • summary: "let's talk about your draft, what did you think about Freeling" Dan:   guys with a huge upside, can come in and compete to start.  High ceiling "he does what for your offense?" Dan:   it's hard to find left tackles, guys that big and athletic.  We have Icky coming off an injury, we signed Walker, I believe your offensive line can never be too strong.  If we're going to win the game, it's gotta be up front on both sides of the ball, so we make a point of emphasis on making both sides of the front as strong as possible. "how many mocks did you see Monro falling to you." Not many times, left tackles are gonna go a lot earlier than when we took him.  We want to add the best player, in free agency or the draft"  that's our philosophy, to get the best players possible. "Hunter and Brazzell." Dan:  we followed the board.  Lee we felt very highly of him , super strong.  Brazzel so flexible and loose, can open the verticle.  Will Lee we held in high regard. "you take a look at your receiver room, Coker, my goodness, your offensive rookie of the year in Tet.  Lost Rico, but there is Jonathan Brooks. " Brooks coming off two knee injuries, he worked his way back, looking great, fully healthy, will help in pass and run game.  Icky, not sure when he's coming back but we're excited about both "plan on extending Bryce" we'll keep talking, will keep internally.  We believe in him, has such a great grasp of Canales and offense, has improved every year. "he's clearly come back from the benching, the arrow is trending up, where does he feel" Bryce knows where we stand with him, when and if a deal gets done, he knows we feel great with him, we'll get something done at the right time. "if this a prove it situation?" everyone in the building has to prove it, has to earn it. Tmac was everything we wanted, his work ethic, he's so big and talented, but he puts the work in, and is a great teammate. "your level of expectation, the building's level of expectation for 2026 "our goal is to win the division every year, we know we have to earn it.  we have to put the work in every day, proving it on the practice field, and our  guys know that." "schedule" we haven't opened at home in 2 or 3 years.  We love prime time games, hope we get some "
