Anyone else notice a lack of bubble screens and flea flickers to slow receivers?

Speaking of which, who's bright idea was it to put in a RB who hasn't carried the ball all game on a critical 3rd and 2 when Stew and Tolbert were beasting all game?

LOL I kid, I kid Shula. For the most part, I'm loving how Shula is calling these games and how he is giving Cam more freedom at the line. We're 6th in the league in scoring, can't complain about that.

Shula has been evolving quite a bit for sure.  I'd also like to see a couple more screen passes.  Not the 360 pump fake double move.  Just a regular screen pass.

Also, even though he seems to be improving, his weakness has always been attacking 3-4 defenses.  I look forward to seeing what he can come up with against a good 3-4 team like GB.   The Colts run 3-4 too so I won't overlook that, but GB is obviously more of a litmus test defensively.  Hope he can keep up the incline.

We should be blaming Ed Dickson, he was the one that got blown up

That was on Dickson.

Yeah, that was really bad on Dickson. Play was blown up before it even started. And CAP actually made a nice first move. I was kidding anyway. I'm actually really liking what Shula is doing this year (as one of his long doubters).

Agreed on Shula. I think he has done a very good job.

    • Yeah if Im running 70 in a 65 and your in my backseat Im locking my cruise control there and if you dont get the message Ill drop to the posted speed limit. Im at or in excess of the posted speed and have no obligation to yield the lane.
    • I love Chubba.  Been a fan since I heard about his story when he was at Ok St.  and no doubt his production and progression is impressive, but this is my one nitpick - he was always touted for his speed, having come from a track background, so I am honestly surprised he doesn’t have more breakaway runs for TDs than what he has achieved thus far.  But to be fair, it often feels like he is constantly having to break tackles, so when he breaks the last one where it would just be nothing between him and the end zone, that usually took long enough that a defender from the opposite side of the field got an angle to catch up.  I really hope with the receiver additions, Bryce moving forward with confidence and proving that ending stretch last season wasn’t an aberration, and another year of synergy for the OL, Chubba is gonna have some wide open running this season.  He is definitely special.  Proud of him and happy he is getting rewarded for all his hard work…
