Saints game flexed

The Panthers-Saints game in New Orleans on Dec. 6 has been flexed from 1 p.m. Eastern to 4:25 p.m.

My heart almost stopped and had flashbacks of 2013 when I read the thread title. LOL good thing is 4:25 and not 8:30.

so i guess those producers didn't misspeak, they want the panthers-saints to be a big game, not panthers-ATL.

lame, it makes the saints look more important than they are.

I don't really understand the reason for doing this. Fox already has NE at PHI in that time slot which will generate a huge audience. Seems like having them back to back is a better move for ratings.

The nation wants to see more Panthers.      I'd think the 4:25 time slot will offer a much, much larger coverage area than the 1pm time slot.

Other Panthers games may have been protected since they're doing well this year, so maybe they wanted to cash in on the 'alpha male' ratings while they can. Wonder if any of the other late games (Den vs SD, KC vs Oak, Philly vs NE) will be getting bumped forward.
