NFL Power Rankings: Brady should be excused because of injuries and bad recievers

Recommended Posts

Ugly loss for the Patriots, who, despite making it close in the end, are now taking some punches from fans and analysts around the country. Never mind that the offense is without all of its top playmakers, or the fact that Tom Brady can't get wideouts to even catch the football, much less fight for it. Brady loses some ground in the MVP race -- but there should be considerations made for the way New England receivers dropped three straight passes on the team's final possession. Catch the freaking ball.

Cam has 10 interceptions this year I believe. How many have been off the receivers hands? I know for sure of 1 from Ginn, 2 from Funchess, 1 from Norwood. Any others? And if Ginn fought for the one against the Aints that's an incomplete pass. How many dropped TD passes? fug that sh*t, Brady is a bitch.

Cam for MVP.

Tom Brady has reached 6 Super Bowls, winning 4 times, and was having one of the best seasons ever by a QB at age 38 until 2 weeks ago.

I hate the Patriots much as anybody, but Brady is the man at the top of the throne. There's nothing wrong with giving him a pass for the last 2 weeks. He hasn't played bad.

LMAO!!! He doesn't deserve a pass.

If he's the best, then there's even less of a reason to give him an excuse. Duck him and fug you.

But shouldn't he making the receivers better? He is supposed to be elite, elite qbs do that.  /sarcasm

Years we have heard how great Tom Brady is. Anyone ever think maybe it is good coaching, scheme, and overall a good team on both sides of the ball helped them wn superbowl? Naw that can't be it can it? The media needs to learn it is the "New England Patriots", not "Tom Brady's Patriots". These excuses don't fly when in previous years they talk about how great he makes his receivers/oline, well what is different now? He is suppose to be elite like they said before right? Pure bs.

End rant

For two weeks Brady has had to work with talent roughly equivalent to what Cam has had to work with all year.

Difference is Cam finds a way to win, Brady not so much.

This should make the decision crystal clear for those previously on the fence between Cam and Brady for MVP.

Exactly this.

Ha.  Finally figured you out for the lying troll you are.  Brady doesn't deserve jack poo.  Cam is dominating while playing with the same dearth of talent on offense.  These same people didn't give Cam any slack.  fug them.

    • If you need someone to run your multi-billion dollar business, maaayyyybe don't hire a guy whose previous work experience includes repeated blows to the head and literal brain damage but IDK.
    • Extrapolate that with every QB for that matter. I guarantee you there's quite a bit of missed opportunities and yards left on the field for everyone. Many NFL QBs deal with WRs not putting in A+ effort, subpar o-line play and other deficiencies. The great ones are able to rise above these issues and create opportunities for plays. Guys like Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes can both play in and out of structure, as well as find ways to get yards when things break down and mask mistakes by throwing guys open, creating opportunities from nothing, etc. Bryce Young has only shown he's able to make things happen when the rest of the team picks up his slack. Very rarely does he create those opportunities himself. When this is a consistent pattern year after year with Bryce where he shows up lackluster, it's a concern. This is year three and he should be elevating the team as a first overall pick this franchise traded up for.  He was far from elevating anyone against JAX. In fact, he needed others to elevate and create for him. Excuses may be fine for a rookie, but this is year three for the first overall pick. Not looking good so far.
    • I think the worst issue is coaching. Countless bad snaps, XL not getting his feet in or trying on runs plays, our centre being down field when he didn't need to be. All seem to be from poor coaching for me. I believe Canales is to soft to rip the players a new one when the fug up. Plus I honestly believe that Canales is slow getting his plays in giving Bryce less time to diagnose and adjust to the defence. Don't worry I could of head butted Bryce for that fumble and the 4th down throw aways but the other plays are explainable to me
