Opinions: Seahawks or Cards more dangerous in playoffs?

interesting

I want Seahawks #5 seed...unless I am mistaken , assuming they win wild card they would face Arizona in divisional round...good...let them beat each other up...

stars are aligning...of course Rivera would disagree with that

If Seattle is the #5 seed, they will play the NFC East and easily win.  That would leave Minn (#6) to have to beat GB (#3) for us to NOT get Seattle.

If you want to avoid Seattle, you want them at #6.....having to go to GB and possibly lose.

This year is Carolina's revenge tour and it would only be fitting to play both Seattle and AZ on their way to the SB vs NE.

Though their ground game took a big hit this week, with Wilson as QB Seattle should not be taken lightly.

AZ is definitely a great team and relatively healthy, so I would see them as the Panther's biggest potential challenge in the playoffs.  We struggled against them last year and they didn't even have a real QB.

I think we will play them both in consecutive weekends during the playoffs.  I think we are playing much better than we were when we faced Seattle earlier in the year.  That game was the real beginning of Cam's 4th quarter heroics this year and he has built upon that each week.  Maybe it is the euphoria or what we did yesterday lingering but honestly this team is just getting stronger and stronger each week.  I don't care who we play as long as we bring our A game I dont think there is a team out there that can beat us.  If we lose it will because we self destruct not because someone took us out to the woodshed and laid a beating on us.  We are a physical team and that keeps you in most every game.

They both will be tough match up's but I really think this Panthers team can beat both if we continue to play football like how we played all season. You have to give this Carolina team all the credit because they haven't blinked yet and we still have the ability to get better. None of these games will be easy but i think we can still stay consistent and keep pounding all the way through the playoffs!

    • Ok--I have seen some sample items, and I would like to see something (if possible) measures on field intelligence--maybe how quickly you can grasp a playbook or absorb film session adjustments...Back when we had Morrison as team president and Hurney as GM, I offered to assess (as part of my research in education requirement at a University) emotional intelligence and learning styles of players to help coaches teach more effectively.  Morrison loved it and contacted me about it.  Hurney was not interested, and it fell through the cracks.  My pitch?  If only 50% of first-rounders become successful NFL players and that number drops significantly, can you tell me that you are effectively measuring talent?  Morrison thought it was a good point and wanted to do something that might improve long-term success rates--that would impact the cap management, etc.  Marty, according to Morrison, said he was not interested at this time and if so, he would want a football guy to do it.  (I told Morrison that I played in college and Hurney, a sports reporter at one time, did not. He told me that Hurney played as a Guard in college--who knew?) Any way, about that time, Morrison left (2017) and the idea was dropped.  I reached back out a year later or so to Marty was still not interested.  A few days later, his wife accused him of assault or something, so I dropped it.
    • Pretty sure they still do the Wonderlic they just don't publicly release the scores.
    • I just thought he was under the radar--but thanks for opening our eyes to him.  I think we should have better measures for intelligence--such as reaction time, angles, etc. Legette is raw as heck, for example, and his RAS was very high.  We used to do the Wonderlic (which was not great) but to know how effectively a player makes on field decisions would be great.
