TD having surgery this morning

I'd think it really depends on the type of break that occurred and where on the bone.

Depends on which bone too- radius or ulna. Hopefully it's a fracture and not both bones. Unfortunately, statistically speaking, it's more common for both bones to break.

Thomas isn't lying when he said he's not missing the superbowl for the world. Whether it's for the whole game or limited snaps, there is no doubt in my mind Rivera is going to find a way to get that man who's gone through SO MUCH adversity some snaps in the biggest game of the year. Knowing TD, he will play the whole game at an elite level with a broken arm.

Also, didn't TO play in the superbowl with a broken foot and went for 100+?

The surgery could have nothing to do with helping to heal the arm.

It very well could be to put a metal plate in there to support the broken arm as much as possible so he can play and will just deal with the pain.

I think this is the answer, plates and screws like Smitty with some "chump proof" padding.

Some good posts here.  I agree with those that state he will play, even if it is limited.  Out of respect for him, Ron will make him a starter for the SB.  How long he plays and what he contributes is up to what the doctors do.  I don't think TD will jeopardize his long time health for the SB.  He will play.  How much is still to be seen.

TD really needs to start thinking about life after football. This man will have pains on top of pains.

If 3 ACL surgeries didnt slow him down I don't think a broken forearm is going to.  he's still playing at an elite level.
