Broncos practice-squad safety Ryan Murphy was questioned Tuesday night about his involvement with a prostitution sting in San Jose, Calif.

According to Sgt. James Jensen of the Santa Clara Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at a Motel 6 off Brokaw Road near San Jose International Airport at about 5 p.m.

Jensen confirmed Murphy was detained but not arrested after it was determined he was not involved with the sting.

The Broncos, however, still took action.

"Although practice-squad safety Ryan Murphy was not cited by police, we decided it was best for the team if we continued our preparations for Super Bowl 50 without him," coach Gary Kubiak said via a statement Tuesday night. "Ryan is returning to Denver, but his status as a practice-squad player has not changed at this time."

I find it slightly ironic that the day after Eugene Robinson gave a speech to our team about not making that exact mistake a Broncos player gets sent home for the same thing.  Now didn't get arrest like Robinson but still how on earth does this happen on the best week of your life.  How do you explain that to your mom, your family, friends, etc.  everyone you have known will be watching this game that you have ties too.  young player made a mistake but got to know better than that.

Just read the story on Tolbert and Fozzy opening up "Club Shiznit" guess that Broncos player wishes they would have thought of something like that instead of being out on the town.   I have played football, coached, watched for 20 years and I tell you want ladies and gents and the comradery this team has is absolutely amazing.  Club Shiznit is a restricted area for players only that Fozzy and Tolbert opened to the guys to play video games, play cards, and have fun in their hotel room, if you haven't read the story.

I've coached and played football up to the coach level and I tell you want, if you got a team with this talent but more importantly love playing together and playing for each other.  Its scary (in a good way)!

Bring the Lombardi back to Charlotte!!!!

Sting?

Wtf is a sting?

Police set up fake prostitutes as bait and wait for dumb people to visit. They will then arrest you and hold you for up to 24 hours. The cell is usually a shared cell with many misdemeanor offenders with lots of funny stories.

I think I have said too much.

They busted real prostitutes and then followed them to the car they said they were going to. In the car were the Broncos player and his brother.

    • The Bucs waived shilo sanders after he got ejected.
    • I'm just tired of ppl saying he's so accurate and then have to see recievers slow down to recieve the ball, ruining any chance at YAC
    • Some people will really look at stuff like this and say "no more excuses" but then make excuses to try and explain away the validity of big-time throws. 🙃   Back on topic though, as I mentioned in the other AT thread earlier, I hope that the team is still exploring the deal. If the Vikings want the Panthers to take on some of the salary, then it had better be at worst a 4th-round pick (though I imagine Dan angling for a 3rd). If they're willing to take on all of it, then maybe at worst a 5th. Tough pill to swallow, giving up a 4th for a 35yr old WR, but if MIN believes they can have similar success behind McCarthy then it could be a smart deal for them. Hell, if AT has any gas in the tank and gives them a 1yr sweetheart deal to close out at home, even better for Minnesota. Yea, Bryce loses his best and most reliable WR. Hunter Renfrow though isn't what I would call a huge step down though (if he's as advertised throughout camp), and it gives more reps to TMac + XL + Coker. This season is all about continued development and answering some of the looming questions (Is Bryce the guy? Is Evero the DC going fwd? How do the young WRs develop? How long does it take this defense to bounce back from being historically awful?).
