Uninjured; Do we beat the Broncos?

I disagree.  I think we would beat them if we lined up and played em tonight.  We beat ourselves.  Im not taking anything a way from them but we beat ourselves.  Take away there first TD and give us a TD to start the second and we win.  People can pick on me but I will go to the grave believing we are the better team.

Remmers, Tolbert, Cotchery, and Shula we the four that screwed us and they would have played either way.

Now I have no idea how much Stew's injury hindered him or if we woud have done better with him 100% but with Shula calling the plays and Cotchery dropping the ball in key moments I doubt it matters.

I think we lost because of the preparation that comes with being in the Superbowl.  The Denver defense did their homework and have two HOF caliber pass-rushers.  The Panthers expected a couple street free agents to block them.  The Panthers had to come up with something different than usual to win against those guys.

This. I said before the game we would beat them 7/10 times and I still feel the same way. Hats off to them though because they won the only game that counted. This isnt the NBA where the better team always wins because you get 7 games to prove it

Mental mistakes, sloppiness killed us.  That wouldn't change.  Our RT and protection would've been exactly the same.  Fumbles, penalties, passes that weren't caught and passes that weren't on target killed us.  Our mental focus wasn't where it needed to be.

I'm sure there are hundreds of reasons why we lost and why we could win.

I think part of it was just too much for the team.  Cam and Ron won MVP and Coach of the year the day before.  There was the media, hype and being away from home for a week.  The start and stop schedule of play between the team coming out and the actual game.  it just all seemed to throw the team off it's rhythm.  Denver had been through it 2 years before.

I'm still very positive about the future of this team.  The core will remain intact and I'm excited about seeing Funchess and Benjamin on the field at the same time.  On to the draft..

    • No one. Why do you think that is? Because they love Bryce Young's media presence, or because they realize the TEAM is an absolute shiite show that very few QBs could have success in? Knowing what you know about Tepper, which do you think is the reason? Don't try to overthink it. It's the obvious answer. These receivers aren't good - yet. Did you watch last night's game? How do you think our receivers stack up to GB and WAS receivers? Hot take... Renfrow should have caught the pass he took a shot on. Sanders caught the exact same pass running the exact same route with the exact same hit later in the game. There was another pass down the sideline that Renfrow should have caught and got his feet inbounds. The pass that was thrown short was a bad throw by Bryce. He flat out missed that throw. No argument there - and a great play call/design by Canales. But a better receiver either catches the ball or draws a PI with the defender's back towards the ball. The defender never saw the ball. He 100% played the receiver. Bryce isn't exactly killing it, but his receivers aren't doing him any favors either. Their job is to make QBs right, not the other way around. Any Joe SHOULD be able to go out there and catch perfect passes in perfect calls where they're wide open. That doesn't make you an NFL wide receiver.
    • Hunt and Lewis on the report two weeks in a row to start the season. You can guarantee they will miss time at some point
    • You all over the map.   First you scoff at seam routes being hospital balls…despite the fact those are always routes QB have to be worried about throwing their WR into a hit.  now you are countering with the “you act like Renfrow is on IR” defense  and the “but how did he keep playing after that” defense lol it’s a hospital.  Simple.  You even got NFL QBs explaining it to you in real time with the all22 and telling exactly where Bryce need to put the ball and when.
