Yo are you serious with that name?

That name is pimp as poo.

CHARLOTTE – Swayze Waters, a standout punter with a standout name, has signed a one-year deal with the Panthers.

Waters, an Alabama-Birmingham product, kicked in the Canadian Football League the last four seasons. He was the CFL's special teams player of the year in 2014 after averaging 47.7 yards per punt and hitting 47-of-52 field goals as well as all 40 of his PATs.

He missed most of last season – his fourth with the Toronto Argoanauts – with a hip injury. Prior to moving to the CFL, Swayze spent offseason time with the Lions, Raiders and Steelers from 2009-11.

Huh, a punter that can also kick field goals and PATs?

Pretty good set of skill to tote around if you can be really good at one or the other.

He and the chargers could not come to a mutual agreement on his contract, the guys wants to cash in one more payday

Don't think so.  The Chargers are nearing an all out rebuild/retool, and may as well get young.

Expect to see some of their better players being shown the door if they are on the wrong side of 30.

Can't get rid of Rivers, but Weddle, Gates, Floyd, etc...will be moving on soon.

I love how our fan base dumps on people the moment they're released.

Harper wasn't as bad as many would have u believe. He was still a starter in the NFL even at his old age. Great veteran leadership as well.

Cotchery earned his money mentoring our young wideouts. He lost us that game if u ask me. Burnt Von Miller in the sideline, and just dropped the ball inside the 5 in a 13-7 game. I won't count the challenge play against him, because in my eyes that will always be a catch, but if his punk ass didn't bobble it initially then it wouldn't have happened.

Ron and Dave knew this was coming, which is why they were so stern and adamant that the locker room would never be the same!

Sad that we couldn't finish, but let's not throw guys that were literally " " that close to being Super Bowl champs.

We're classier than that

No, he hates the Chargers and has said he will only play for a contender next year. The disagreement last year is because he felt he deserved an extension after being a faithful servant for 8 years and not having to go into a year without knowing his future and it was disrespectful of the Chargers to not even offer him anything. The Chargers offered him nothing. It was never about getting a big payday. He just wanted security.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
