Ron Rivera " QBs don't practice jumping on fumbles. "

Thank you Ron!! I'm glad NFL FX also showed several angles. Hopefully people can now shut up about it. It's never a question in his heart and toughness. He over pursued, couldn't risk injury and it's a matter of technique. Get off of his back! I bet he's a fumble recovering King next year!

If Cam would have jumped on that ball 3 Denver players would have hit him in the head.  They were head hunting him all night without flags.

Pretty much, one of the defenders even said they would "hit him right in the face" if he had recovered the ball.

If he had tried to recover, with our luck that day, we would've broken a leg or torn knee ligaments. Salt to the wound, media would've blasted him anyways for taking an "unnecessary risk" that jeopardized next season.

Besides, it's better to improve the protection around the quarterback so we don't have to deal with fumble recoveries in the first place.

    • The key word about Europe would be money, and would it be lucrative enough to justify the logistical headaches that would come along with establishing a division there. It would be a nightmare in a lot of ways. The next big thing to come about will be the 18th game. I always thought that having 1 game, now that there is an odd number of games, played at a secondary (neutral) location would be a good idea. Like a Panthers game at Columbia or Raleigh. But I am sure there would be difficulties pulling it off, and historically that hasn't made much financial sense. It probably is past that time as well though. I mention that because it is similar in some ways to a D-league. Again it all comes down to money and is it lucrative enough. The alternative leagues that try and make a run at it, never seem to last too long or be very compelling though.
    • Hate to break it to you all but by the time most of you younger folks have kids that are your age now,  it will ALL be scripted down to the finest details.  Will make pro wrestling look wild and unpredictable.
    • I’m not familiar with the escalators in his deal.  I know they get paid something like 40k - 90k depending on winning or losing.
