How old is your primary TV?

My TV just turned 9 years old.  One of the last CRT projection screens ever made.  Just a tad less crisp than a 1080 LCD, but smoother, more natural motion and far superior blacks.

When I got the TV, I planned to have it for a minimum of 10 years, which I've almost reached.

I have had friends who have had to buy 3 new TVs in that time due to dead pixels and the like.  Is it unusual for an LCD to last 10 years?

Bought my Toshiba 46in LCD flat screen in 2011.  It broke last year with a bad power board.  Would randomly shut off and turn back on.  Paid $50 to get a new power board mailed to me, installed it, works fine now.  Next time it breaks it is new TV time.
