Ex-teacher accused of sex with students says boy’s grades improved

Quote

Brianne Altice is in prison for having sexual contact with three boys aged 16 and 17, the Austin American-Statesman reported. She filed a two-page response last month after one of the victim’s parents filed a lawsuit against her and the school district. The parents claim the school did nothing when employees complained about Altice’s behavior with students.

Altice, a former English teacher, said the then-16-year-old boy whose parents are suing her would “thwart inappropriate comments directed at her.”

I mean, can this be a crime if the victim will forever have it tucked away fondly in his spank bank?

"Society for some reason says 'Well they're boys, they're men',"  "This would be any kid's fantasy. It's not....I think the message the court needs to send today is that gender is not the issue here, conduct is."

If this was a young lady or your daughter would you still be OK with a 37 year old male teacher doing the same as  Brianne Altice  did to the 3 boys/kids ?

Man or women its same law , and is inappropriate and sick minded  for any Adult to do this to any child and should be treated the same as well  , A  pedophile is a pedophile.  and yes 16/17 is still a child/kid .

But, in that very state, it's apparently okay to have a walled compound filled with multiple teenage wives.

You've got to make the leap from "When I was that age, I would have jumped at the chance" to when my son reaches that age...

And I still find myself at a 50/50 right or wrong stance.

When I switch the gender roles there and think of my daughter and a 30-odd year old male teacher, it becomes a matter of "Would he make it to trial alive?"

I know it is a double standard, but I'm working on it. We want our daughters to remain innocent, but we want our sons to be conquerors. Hard to go against hundreds of millenia upon millenia of hard-wiring.

I put less than zero stock in the opinion of any male who says he wouldn't have laid some pipe if presented with the same opportunity at that age.

Just look at how successful the "teenage boy in high school tries desperately to get laid for the first time" genre in Hollywood has been over the years.

Yeah, spare me the moral outrage.

Say what you want to say and twist it any way you want , But I as a 41 year old man find it to be  inappropriate and don't find it acceptable in any way ,  Religion or not it still don't make it right  .Common sense trumps religion in a lot of way's , If you don't see it that way so be it , guess i will keep my Common sense and others can keep Religion  ,

I'm not saying if i was the a young boy that I would turn it away at all . I'm saying that her being an Adult makes it wrong on her behalf and she knew better and if not she does now be hind bars where she should be ,,

Put it this way- if a 16 year old girl walks up to me and throws it on me I sure the hell am not going to lick it and  stick it  , It is my place to walk away as I would hope most Adults would  ,  and if not that makes you a  dumb MFer in many ways and should be locked up as well  Women or Man .

I agree. I also think it is still statutory rape and a double standard. What about the creeper who seduces a 16 year old girl...creeper

I was raised to respect women. I would never have touched a "Mrs. Robinson" teacher. It's a shame if you're so closed-minded that you "put less than zero stock in my opinion."

    • That is just Panthers history pain speaking.
    • From what I gather, sure it allows you more room in that you can manipulate the cap more due to smaller prorated amounts to fit salaries in, but for cap purposes, you're still on the hook for the money at the end of the day.    "ChatGPT You said: What are the advantages for NFL teams to sign larger signing bonuses? ChatGPT said: NFL teams often use large signing bonuses as a strategic tool in contracts. While they cost real cash up front, they offer several advantages, especially when it comes to salary cap management, player retention, and negotiation leverage. Here's a breakdown of the benefits: ✅ 1. Salary Cap Flexibility Signing bonuses are prorated over the life of the contract (up to 5 years) for salary cap purposes. This allows teams to spread out the cap hit, even if the player receives the money immediately. Example: A $20M signing bonus on a 4-year deal counts only $5M/year against the cap. ✅ 2. Attracting Top Talent Players love signing bonuses because they're guaranteed money paid up front. Offering a bigger signing bonus can sweeten the deal without inflating yearly salaries. ✅ 3. Front-Loading Real Cash, Not Cap Teams with strong cash flow can pay big bonuses now while minimizing the immediate cap hit. Useful for teams trying to build around rookie QB contracts or with flexible cash budgets. ✅ 4. Locking in Key Players Larger bonuses make it harder for a player to be released early due to dead cap consequences. This can create more job security for the player and roster continuity for the team. ✅ 5. Leverage in Restructures Big signing bonuses create future cap hits via proration. Teams can later restructure deals (e.g., convert salary to bonus) to create even more cap space. ✅ 6. Competitive Edge In free agency, a team offering more guaranteed cash up front often wins the bidding war, even if the total contract value is lower than another team's. ⚠️ Key Caveat: Large signing bonuses increase dead cap risk if the player is cut or traded early."   I think that roster bonuses can be a useful tool if you're trying to keep players in by manipulating numbers and spreading the hit over time, but I don't think that it's something that you want to use unless it's "necessary." I don't know that you want to get into signing rookies on roster bonuses, as the bust rate is relatively high.
    • not even if that team in New Orleans disbands before the first game.  Saw one 2026 mock that had them drafting first next year.
