Your Draft Sleepers/Favorites

I figured this would be fun--Let's see what people are thinking would be a good fit here/or their favorites, regardless of where we could pick them or whatnot. 

 

Favorites:

Sterling Shepard WR Oklahoma 5'10 195 - There's been some great talk on him so far and think he would be a great compliment for our offense.  It could likely require a R2 trade-up.

Jeremy Cash SS Duke 6'0 213 - I think he fits our SS position better than the other top prospects in this class.  He just seems ready to make an impact and would be a great fit here.

Matt Judon DE Grand Valley State 6'3 275 - He was light years ahead of his collegiate competition and he is buzzing around league circles.  Ideal size and frame for a 4-3 DE and was a sack machine.  You see a play from those games and notice him within 3 seconds. 

Willie Henry DT Michigan 6'3 303 - Big school multi-dimensional DT...he's not a one trick pony in the run or pass.  Balanced, seems to have a very good game at his disposal that will translate very well. 

 

Sleepers:

 

Kavon Frazier SS Central Michigan - The other SS prospect I think very highly of and can easily see him fit in our defense.

Ryan Smith NC Central - Watch out for him.  We've met with him...you'll see Smith listed as a 6th-UDFA but he could very well be the type that ends up going in round 4 or 5. 

John Theus OT UGA - Big school lineman with left tackle size.  Has write ups about his footwork and a lack of strength at the edge but you never know with these OLs.  They seem to come out of nowhere nowadays.  Theus started as a freshman and was a 5-star recruit.

Will Redmond on Mississippi State in round 3.  He has first round talent but tor an ACL late in the season.  He was working his way into the high second or low first before the injury.  He would be a steal in the 3rd

Jordan Howard RB Indiana

 put on the game tape when they played Michigan. Michigan knew he was getting the ball and they still couldn't stop him. My only concern with him is health as he had to miss quite the few games.

My sleeper is DT Javon Hargrave-South Carolina State

His big knocks are being 6'1", raw, and playing in the FCS level of college ball. Big pluses are his career stats of 37 sacks and 62.5 tackles for loss in 4 years of college. Was the best player at the Shrine game, which earned him a call to the Senior Bowl as a late injury replacement.

Getting drafted by Carolina in the mid-rounds would be ideal for Javon. Not being expected to start right away gives him time to develop with coaching from Eric Washington and Sam Mills III. DTs like Star and Soliai that do more run-stopping and take on double-teams are easier to find than DTs who can pass-rush like KK. I'd like to see a better pass-rushing DT at back-up so the rush doesn't fall off as much when KK is taking a breather on the sideline

Keith Marshall is interesting.  That crazy speed is complimented by 220 lbs.  Played behind Gurley and was injured a bit but I think he has pretty good potential.  Not a big fan of this RB class overall though.

At cb Zack Sanchez and Eric Murray.  Both play zone very well, Sanchez has gotten a ton of int but Murray is a much tougher player.  Sanchez should be gone by the end of the 3rd so not sure how much of a sleeper he is.

At safety Justin Simmons and Kevin Byard.  Both are really FS but Byard is a much better tackler however Simmons has much more range.

At DT Hargrave and Quniton Jefferson from Maryland.  Both are extremely quick off the snap.  Hargrave is not much of a sleeper though and may be gone by the middle of the 3rd.  Jefferson has all the talent in the world he just seems to turn it on and off at will.  Usually coming into the NFL and getting the money does not make guys more motative so if you are lazy in college you are probably going to be lazy in the NFL. 

At WR Chris Moore.  Big and fast.  Drops passes and has no idea how to run routes.  The routes part can be taught, the drops part he will have to work out himself.

Theus is a great pick, the guy was a monster coming out of high school.  UGA always seems to ha me extremely talented OL that never seem to play to their potential under coach Richt, so I think he's a lot better than he has shown up to this point and could be a future starter here.

i also like Brandon Shell out of South Carolina, nephew of Art Shell, and think he would be a great late round pick and a potential starter at RT in a couple of years.
