Are you expecting much from Charles Johnson this year...

i think he will be serviceable. sure, he had 1 sack in the regular season, which is fuging horrible.

but he picked up a sack in every playoff game. he came through in the end and that's probably what convinced g-man to bring him back.

i'm guessing a floor of 6 sacks, especially if we pick up a capable DE in the first or second who will keep him fresh.

I expect big money to have a way more productive year. The reason why I say this is because when you severely pull your hamstring, your lower body strength gets zapped very fast. With an entire off season to train, I expect him to build that strength back up and come back in better form.

I think he'll have a good year this year (not monsters inc type numbers, but good).  He's got a lot to prove and I think he thought he'd walk into free agency and teams would fall all over themselves to give him a payday...well, it didn't happen and now he knows he better put in the work or he could be out of a job soon.  Summation, gifted athlete with a lot to prove=a good season on the horizon.

He didn't come back because he couldn't get a good payday elsewhere. He had at least one better offer and it was multi-year. He wanted to be in Charlotte for at least one more year.

I don't know if he'll have an all pro year, but there's no question he's motivated to give 100%.
