Tampa Bay Fans Delusional As Usual

Recommended Posts

Yes, its started. With the draft of VH III I have been told Tampa Bay is winning the division because their first round pick rookie is going to shut down Kelvin Benjamin not to mention the rest of our WRs

Lets compare the two shall we..

Vernon Hargreaves is 5'10, Kelvin Benjamin is 6'5

Ask the Seahawks Richard Sherman and Tharold Simon how that match up worked for them considering both are 6'3.

So now Tampa Bay fans are going to pretend a 5'10 corner is going to shut down KB and will be the X factor for TB in winning the division..

Last year I had to endure this same rhetoric with the coming of Winston and how the Panthers will fall immediately after the draft.

Each year the Bucs fans build up this great fantasy in how they will finally dethrone the Panthers and each year after four games in the season I get to read timelines of Bucs fans crying and whining.

Bring on the games..God I can't wait for football season to start!!!!

Just now hitting me that we went to the Superbowl without one of our best players, and we're getting him back this season.

This thread is about Tampa Bay?  Who?  The team that has finished last in the division the last like 6 years?

It's gonna be Grimes on Benji.   Grimes is a small dude also,  but don't underestimate the lil guy's skill and experience.

VH will be a helluva player for them if they can try to utilize him like the Cards use Honey Badger.

So technically like an expression I heard last night when the Jags took Ramsey that they get 2 1st round picks because Dante Fowler will be back after missing all season.  We technically just got 2 1st round picks as well.  DT and Benjamin back for the season.  I'll take that.  KB is going to be hungry.  Comeback player of the Year.

There is not one single CB out there that can lock down KB one on one physically. Just from what we saw his rookie year, and the small taste we got preseason last year, kid is an absolute monster, and in my opinion is about to blossom into one of the most unstoppable forces in the league.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
