“I want to be here," Oher said with a huge smile. “Love the organization. It’s such a great organization. You wish you could be a part of this type stuff your whole career."

Rivera is expecting even better things out of Oher this season.

“Oh, he’s so much more comfortable in what we’re doing and how we do it," he said. “He’s fit in very nicely with that group of guys. Players feed off of his energy and excitement."

The best evidence of how comfortable Rivera is with Oher is Carolina didn’t make any moves in the draft or free agency.

“It’s exciting to have him out here and watch him mix it up with the guys," Rivera said. “He’s been a big part of what we’ve done since he’s been here and he continues to be a big part for us."

Few have a better work ethic than Oher, usually one of the first players at the facility. He’s bought into Rivera’s post-Super Bowl speech that the best way to get back to the title game is to return to the little things that got you there the first time.

"Don't be blindsided"

will it ever end???

It would be nice to get a few more years out of him, though I'd love to see his run blocking get better.  Especially after he rode that dude to the other end of the field in the movie.. ;P

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
