ESPN's Ed Werder reports the Redskins have had "internal discussions" about signing free agent DE Greg Hardy.
The Redskins' thin pass rush just loss Junior Galette for the season, and GM Scot McCloughan hasn't been shy about adding players with "character concerns," real or imagined. Hardy's are very real, but he's a dominant pass rusher who remains in his physical prime. The Redskins would be an unsurprising team to take the plunge. Perhaps no organization in the league is more used to bad PR.

Would reunite him and Josh though they didn't play much together after 2012. I would be willing to bet if this happens that a lot of Huddlers will become Redskins fans.

That team is going to tear apart by mid-season. They must really be desperate.

They might tear apart by mid-season and may just be desperate, but it d@mn sure isn't because they're considering a former All-Pro DE in his physical prime.  As the PFT article says, Norman (like most current and former Panthers) vouch for the guy.  http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/07/26/report-washington-has-discussed-adding-greg-hardy/

Exhibit A of the hypocritical insanity of this multi-billion dollar cut throat business.  Very little relative stink was even made in our nation's capital, liberal bastion, and media Mecca, when Junior Galette signed and was RE-signed.  Fans and media throw stones in glass houses.

Ok....Dallas and the Skins don't want him.

that about does it.

Ha!  If rumblings caused Ed Werder to run with it, then that interest doesn't stop on a dime.  It's still only July 26.

He converted all 13 of his field goal tries with a 100% conversion rate that led all FBS kickers with at least 12 attempts. Fitzgerald was also perfect on his 14 extra points. He will compete with Matthew Wright for the Panthers’ kicking job in training camp. Harrison-Hunte went undrafted despite a strong showing at the Combine. He’s an older prospect who will turn 25 by the start of his rookie year, but he had just one season of sustained production at SMU after five years at Miami. Still, he earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2024 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks and will push for a roster spot in Carolina as an athletic interior disruptor.   more at the link https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/05/panthers-sign-19-undrafted-free-agents
