Cam is Not a Top Tier QB...

You guys need some preparation H, there's too much butthurt in here. He's at the top of tier 2, and I think that's perfectly reasonable because he's had one Elite year and a few good/great years. He's definitely trending up.

If anyone deserves to be tier 1 it's Brees. Dude will go down as an all time great and is criminally underated. Cam and Russ had great years last year, but they're too young, In my opinion at least, to be considered tier 1. I'd like to see another year like this past year from them and then I'd say definitely tier 1. They haven't earned the Benefit of the doubt that Brady and Rodgers have earned.

How Rothlisberger is in tier 1 is beyond me. Brees should be in his spot. Isn't Brees' fault his head coach completely ignores the defensive side of the ball. Brees brings it every week. I can't wait until that motherfuger retires or leaves the Saints so we don't have to deal with him anymore.

I can't help but sit back and wonder how many officials with perpetually terrible franchises and an archaic understanding of what a QB is supposed to be felt they actually had the ability to make disparaging comments about Can Newton.

"well you know I just don't like all Sca, er um Cam's fancy leg stuff and his big scary arm"

-Jeff Fisher, probably

LOL. I'm not "butthurt."

The criteria they used to evaluate Cam doesn't make any sense. He's the reigning MVP and according to them, "he can carry teams sometimes, but not as consistently." If that were true, he wouldn't have won the MVP award. He should be in Tier 1.

probably every player and coach on the tennessee titans elbowed their way to the front of the line to tell the pollster that cam is a tier two quarterback

somebody check if the thread is still going on the titans board

He had a tier 1 season, no doubt. Rodgers, Brees, and Brady have had MULTIPLE tier 1 seasons. I think Cam is on the cusp of being tier 1. Do it two years in a row and he's no doubt tier 1. 1 year does not make you perpetually elite. Look at Daunte Culpepper in '04 as an example.

Well, at least according to 42 league insiders, 10 general managers, 5 head coaches, 7 offensive coordinators, 5 defensive coordinators, 8 personnel evaluators and 7 other position coaches and executives.

Cam was placed in Tier 2. Which is complete BS. HE IS THE REIGNING MVP!

Here are the Tiers that were used to evaluate the QB's:

Tier 1: Can carry his team each week. Team wins because of him.
Tier 2: Can carry team sometimes but not as consistently.
Tier 3: Legit starter but needs heavy run game/defense to win.
Tier 4: Might not want this guy starting all 16 games.
Tier 5: Do not think this guy should be starting.

Nice of Gettleman to say those things.  I mean, it has to be him, can surely there isn't another GM this smart in the NFL.
