For addressing his critics and getting the message back on track.

Addressing the media and adjusting his protest (taking a knee) to show more respect speaks volumes.

Perhaps Kap is not really really dumb.

Kaep is a real one unlike our qb trying to play both sides.

Dont know how protesting the flag furthers his cause anyway.  There are many brave black servicemen who gave their lives for that flag and this country.  He is disrespecting every soldier who has given his life to protect that flag.  That flag doesnt represent the government or specific policies which discriminate but rather freedom to express your opinion so he could act as he did.  There are many ways to show your disapproval of this country and the government but disrespecting the flag is a very poor choice in my opinion.

    • Therein lies the problem. Doing so has propelled us to the most expensive group in the league. And if we hadn't signed them in all likelihood the company line would be that our QB needs better protection. But the argument could be made that without those signings we could have upgraded the defense much more. $153 million is no chump change.
    • I think you guys are vastly underestimating the power that McDermott had. Terry Pegula, during his presser, said outright that Keon Coleman was NOT BEANE'S next choice. Beane gave into the coaching staff because it was a collaboration. That's what Pegula said.  Now we'll likely never know which picks were Beane's and which picks were McDermott's, but suffice it to say that there is a reason McDermott was fired. Pegula basically said that he thought they had hit a wall with all the almost-wins-turned-losses, and he thought that they needed a change. Pegula also addressed the narrative about Beane making some type of power play. He flat out said that had Beane done that, he would've been fired on the spot. For anyone that's interested, it was a compelling interview to watch or listen to.
    • his attitude might be just that bed. A new age Jeff George.
