Brandon Marshall says Broncos aren't dirty

Jeffrey Dahmer says he's not a cannibal.     Just because he ate pieces of human beings does not mean he's a cannibal.       If you look at some of the more ancient tribes of the world...  they would eat a person,  whole,  and then use the bones as tools.

I do.

I'm not sure Marshall does.

Fair.  I'm not defending him / them - that was a dirty game plan that resulted in dirty plays that I'm still fuming over.  I'm more just saying it's not at all surprising that the team doing the dirty things would deny they were dirty. Same as everyone else...not surprised.

eric smith of the jets broke anquan boldins jaw on this play a few years ago by launching himself head first at boldins head. Smith was fined $50,000 and suspended one game.

At minimum, that is what Marshall should receive. The plays are eerily similar only, thankfully, Cam didn't have his jaw broken.

This was also before the concussion issue was brought into the national spotlight.

Remember that time as a kid you got caught breaking some rules in your house and when your parents called you on it you immediately fessed up and took your lumps instead of denying you did it?  Anyone?

My 7 year old daughter was taking a shower last night. Told her to wash her body and whatnot, she calls that she's done so I can come help her wash her hair. I get in there and see that her loofah sponge thing is still hanging up dry. So I call her on it and instead of admitting it, she starts arguing with me saying she really did wash her body. Eventually she changed it to saying she didn't know how -she does- and that she thought I'd be mad she didn't so that's why she lied.

Marshall is acting like my 7 yr old daughter. He's a little girl.

The problem is that lying and minimizing the issue doesnt hurt him in any way and might help his case so of course he is going to minimize. What does he have to lose by minimizing and defending himself?

Like your child lying to you about something.  If they get away with the lie 50% of the time and when they are caught the consequence is the same whether they lie or not, then why wouldnt they lie if they dont have well developed ethics? There has to be a consequence for the lying separate from the offense or it encourages lying since it doesnt cost anything to do it.

In Marshall's case he has nothing to lose and everything to gain by doing what he does.  Until he is found guilty there is absolutely no reason for him to act remorseful before the fine or suspension which assumes guilt and afterwards he intends to appeal it anyway so of course he is going to deny and minimize it.

Well he's acting like a child. Girls don't own that kind of behavior all by themselves :P

    • With the contract money an OT first rounder makes you can ALWAYS get a new girlfriend.  And probably an upgrade at that.  You only got 2 parents.
    • Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.
    • Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
