If I am San Fran or any team

I realize that Cam Newton is the key cog in Carolina beating us.  Defensively it may take awhile to adjust to really being good because frankly McD is going to have to scheme around our DE and DB situation (and that won't happen overnight)

so if I am San Fran...I tell my D to see where the refs draw the line on Cam.   I expect them to really go after Cam Sunday.  Then back off of only when the refs make them.  Keep pushing the envelope until it isn't worth it.

I still don't think refs view Cam as a guy that will get "tradtional" position protection after all this.

That's why the Panthers D will have to return the favor, I don't care if we injure cpl of player a game long as it's the opposing team getting the punishment.

Here's the thing, not every team plays dirty like that. Everyone has known the key to beating the Panthers is limiting Cam. They just haven't figured out how to do it. I doubt coaches are saying go hit him in the head. The Broncos really didn't leak a blueprint or expose anything. They can't beat Cam fair and square is what they proved. Again, even with the dirty hits and missed calls, Carolina almost won that game. Gano missed a field goal. There aren't many teams like Denver. They're good and dirty.

I agree with you but we do play a couple of teams this year that have less than stellar records for playing clean.

Rams and NO?

I just don't think they've figured out how to beat Cam without trying to take his knees out or head off. I believe we will be fine. I don't think a 15-1 record but we will be fine.

the bronco's leaked the blue print to beating the panthers. keep in mind we haven't played a team besides Denver for 7 months.

It's a great blueprint if you have top level talent in the secondary and the pass rush. Most teams don't have that, pretty much no other team has their level.

He converted all 13 of his field goal tries with a 100% conversion rate that led all FBS kickers with at least 12 attempts. Fitzgerald was also perfect on his 14 extra points. He will compete with Matthew Wright for the Panthers’ kicking job in training camp. Harrison-Hunte went undrafted despite a strong showing at the Combine. He’s an older prospect who will turn 25 by the start of his rookie year, but he had just one season of sustained production at SMU after five years at Miami. Still, he earned first-team All-ACC honors in 2024 with 8.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks and will push for a roster spot in Carolina as an athletic interior disruptor.   more at the link https://www.profootballrumors.com/2025/05/panthers-sign-19-undrafted-free-agents
