Andy Lee was worth it

I cannot explain how amazing it is we finally, after all these years, have an elite punter. Andy Lee is playing like Todd Sauerbrun without the off-field issues. Through two games, he ranks in the top five in punting average and net punting average. I'll gladly trade a fourth rounder (we haven't had a fourth rounder become a legitimate, competent starter since Frank Garcia in 1995) for that.

We have needed this for years. Having a guy who can flip the field allows our defense a lot of slack, which they are going to need. This long-term renovation of special teams has worked well for Getts. Signing Ginn in 2013 and 2015 (yes, he dropped a kick today, but overall he's excellent) and finding Gano (again, occasional mistakes but still top 10), on top of Lee, is about as good as we could ask for. Now we just need to find our gunner.

We kicked the ball from our own 49. After our defense stopped them, we got the ball back on our 46. 

Our punter (with the defense, of course), allowed us to resume offense at virtually the same spot we left off. That's fugging ridiculous.

Even if someone was upset about giving up so much for a punter, he has definitely shown his worth in the first 2 games! I have been very pleased

his punt downed near the goal line set our offense up for a field goal right before the end of the half.  he essentially helped us sneak a little dig in right beef the half and go up by a quiet 3 points.  at the time, we needed it.

Much better than nortman who would just bang the ball into the endzone or hit a 20 yard net that basically made the punt meaningless.

His pro-bowl quality holding hasn't seemed to help Gano much though. :/
