Shula takes blame for lack of KB targets

Just a thought guys. Do you think Shula showed move Benjamin around more (ex: switch sides off the field, put him in the slot) to get better matchups?

Hard to put guys in motion when you're getting to the line with less than 5 seconds on the playclock.

Just like Rivera, Shula knows his job is safe and knows it is easy to take the heat and deflect from the players. That is why our staff is so player friendly.

From what I saw surveying the field at the game. KB had single coverage most of the second half in first and second down especially.

This

Cam just wasn't looking his direction early on the playcalls.  My guess is the gameplan highlighted other WRs for some reason.  Primary reads are primary reads and Kelvin wasn't it.

I mean Captain summed it up IMO when he didn't really have an answer for how they limited him.  They didn't IMO.

first game in a long time where the gameplay was garbage.  Denver one was solid we just got beat body for body up front in the second half.

basiscally, IMO Shula needed to adjust the O as he did for the Denver rematch.  Cam was too far back in the pocket with long routes developing.  That wasn't the SF D.  Needed a similar approach as week 1

My opinion wont be popular

i dont believe in Shula for all the reasons discussed over and  over again

i also do not believe this offense is sustainable. There are only so many miracles to get a first down on a 3rd and a million.

Newton would benefit from an OC that forced him to grow vs. coddling him and he sure looks a bit coddled

Was at the game yesterday and at least  three times, particularly on the left side of the formation, receivers were alone and Newton didn't even look there And he had time

I don't know but watching him live he does not seem like the Cam we have known for years...he seems disinterested, he had no fire on the field

he give up on a plays like a hooked fish on a fishing boat's deck gave up on going back to the sea.

How about we not call plays where wide outs run 15+ yards on 3rd and 4 when down 9 points in the beginning of the 4th quarter.

Or a reverse in the same scenario.

I don't think Shula knows how to play smart and tighten up and work on short passes and no huddles. It's either long ass routes, option and the occasional trick play at the absolute worst times.

No you're completely right. Cam and Shula has gone as far as it can. I'm noticing Cam more frustrated in these last 3 games than ever before. He took a lot of heat for the SB and he knows they missed their shot and he's very focused on getting back and winning it and right now he's looks limited

Will KB take responsibility for his crappy playing yesterday?   Honestly think he needs to be benched.

I don't think he should be benched but it's his job to get open, not Shula's. It's like with Cam though, it's always the coaches fault with our fans, not his. The simple fact is, the Panthers got outplayed yesterday.

Where did he talk at?

For sure have to add a new complex in 2016 NFL defenses. Atlanta is going to give a lot of looks this Sunday..

I wanna see more up tempo no huddle, stick Atlanta out there with some tired slow DBs and let Cam pick out what he and Kalil sees and play some ball. Im just talking out of my ass because I have no idea what goes on in our meeting rooms but I wonder if we look at new players on the team.. example Neal, I would expect Quinn to have Neal blitzing and staying underneath and part of the double team on Greg. Its like we just discount tendancies of players and their attributes. Very rare do you even hear Ron say oh yeah we might look out a little more for what this guy can do, example Earl Thomas and the way he covers ground on air balls.

We need a more traditional running attack all the options and counters are weak. You run power with Cam why the heck do you keep running these slow developing run plays and relying on trickery with CAP. Line up and punch em' in the mouth! CAP has the ability much like Deangelo to get yards between the tackles so why all the cute stuff? I'm almost tired of the read option. It's the friggin NFL! Players are faster and they adapt to gimmicks faster and shut it down.

"Feed the Stud" Olsen and KB should have been relied on more, that was the biggest difference from the 49ers gameplan.
