Why do they insist in Starting CAP over Fozzy?

wow, i guess i'm in the minority..i think CAP is doing the best he can do with the poo blocking that he's had to work with..i feel like he's grinded out some yds for us

I don't  know what the other guys are seeing..there are no holes ..cap is being hit immediately and has to fight to get 2 to 3 yards..on the play he does get good yards there is a penalty that was called on a lineman that was not even involved..people on here don't like Artist  because of the 1 fumble that cost us no points...he hasn't aged that much...I don't get the garbage thing..those type of backs have to get a number of carries before you usually get a big return

I checked before the Atlanta game, and Fozzy was averaging something like 5.9 YPC.  Even if you take out his monster game against San Fran, he was averaging over 5.3 YPC.  That's all before the Atl. game, of course.  Pretty close to what he averaged before he tore his ACL & MCL, his last year in college.  He's a pretty damn good player, IMO.  Just took a while to come back from the knee, so he didn't really catch on anywhere else.  Not really an argument over who should start... just saying.

CAP has to learn to play the option Cam's way. He couldn't do it last year and apparently he didn't bother to learn how to for this year. His preseason was without option plays and I wasn't impressed. Our run game in Atlanta was like a one trick pony without it. You had both OT's with one day of practice at their positions; they're not going to be sweeping much. So the option was badly needed to throw off the Dline and it turned out it wasn't there with CAP and Cam wasn't clear to run.

But, hey. Maybe they're hoping the light bulb turns on for CAP. DA doesn't run the option anyway. Think he's gone after this year if it doesn't.

They are starting Cameron Artis-Payne because he's a running back. He's getting the brunt of carries, as he should, and I think he has looked fine.

Fozzy is having the bigger impact, however, by becoming a reliable pass-catching target. He's not a starter because he's not going to be getting the carries, but he is doing more.

Tolbert is a useless tub of lard.

And who cares if he's better between the tackles, he's barely getting any yards. If the outside running is working better we should do it more and start Fozzy  CAP is slow, small and is terrible and handling the ball, when Fozzy started week 2 he didn't juggle ball every handoff.

This is the coaches being hardheads and not being able to adapt.

I realize that rants usually don't lend themselves to rational thought. But dude? Contradicting yourself, and using hyperbole to make your point is no way to convince people you are right.

Our Philosophy is Ground and Pound. We want to out physical you. Then, when you start to wear down, we hit you with that change of pace, speedier type back. Let an already tired D chase Fozzy around, and see if they can keep up. That is what CAP helps us do.

Or at least that is what we WANT to do. Actually doing it? Not so much this year.

Cap is not small. He is 5-10 and 220. He is not slow. He ran a 4.5 at the Combine. He has not had a problem with hand-offs, until last week. (When even Tolbert ran into Cam.) He certainly has not juggled EVERY hand-off. So...you are using untruths to make a point. C'mon man. That stuff only works against drunks, and fans who may lack knowledge of our Philosophy.

So, because the Coaches do not agree with you. They are "Hard Headed" and "Refuse to Adapt"? When your argument is based off of untruths, and faulty logic. I can see how YOU can come to that conclusion.

You could try to explain the difference between a workhorse back and a change of pace back.

Or you could just give up and say "screw it".

One can try. When I see fans misuse facts to dis a player, I have a hard time ignoring it. I'm getting better. I am only trying to help our younger fans learn to appreciate the finer points of this fine game. Sometimes it works. And sometimes.......

Sorry for the double quote. Didn't feel like trying to fix it, so I just went with tit.

It's Wednesday and we are 1-3 how dare you come in here making sense. You should really learn to huddle. Bitch and moan and make up poo.

On a serious note, it hard to make people understand what's really going on when they are blinded by their own agenda or ignorance of what actually goes on. And I'm not singling out the op. Talking about 75% of what's been posted the last few days. I gave up years ago trying to explain things to some on here. Now I just make quirky comments here and there and live a much happier huddle life.

I go stretches without commenting at all. And when I do comment, it is usually to expound on a post that makes sense to me. I don't usually respond to rageaholics. They are for entertainment. So I let them slide.

But there are times when I do try to talk someone off the ledge. Usually it is in response to an ill formed rant. Sometimes I just can't help myself. After humpty years of marriage, it feels good to get things off my chest.
