Official Saints at Panthers Gameday Thread!!!

Games a must win. We cannot afford to lose a divisional game, and we cannot afford to lose more than 1 game from here on out.

We need to start something before that 2 week stretch against an upstart Raiders team and Seahawks.

But, for the love of God, I want to see us CLOSE out games. That is what's killing us lately.

it may be time to win with Newton not running for 1st downs/TDs, having our QB get hurt at this point in the 2016 season is so stupid.

If we can score points without him taking hits outside the pocket and our Defense can get some turnovers, it would be a sign of team maturity. Normally i would say play to beat the Saints at any costs but with Oher out and Kalill nicked up ( and Gino hurt), I think we need a quick passing game and let the RBs do their job and for the love of god, protect Newton from any more head hunting hits. This needs to be a team win on a quick turnaround game...

No room for error.  Backs against the wall.  Us against the world.  Whatever slogan you want to use to provide motivation.  We have done well the past couple of years when put into this situation.  Two years ago we went into the dome and won 41-10 to keep our playoff hopes alive.   We need to play with a chip on our shoulders.  Its Primetime, division rival, playoff implications, etc. If you can't get up for this game, don't need to be on this team.

Panthers 27-24 (Saints get a score late to make it close)

Bold Predictions:  Cam has 2 Passing & 1 Rushing TD.  JStew runs for over 100 but Cam punches it in.  Gano makes up for some bad kicks this season with 2 45+ FGs. Defense has 2 INTs and 3 Sacks on Brees.

    • I'd been trying out different mobile browsers to see what worked best with the board (Brave used to be good but wasn't cutting it these days). My Choice: Firefox (Android) Unlike some others, Firefox embeds links on the first try. The method that works best is to make the change from "x" to "Twitter" in a separate editor (note taking apps tend to work) then paste it in as plain text. Doing this, I've yet to have an issue. Also worth noting that this browser doesn't give you the little "broken link" sign when you post an emoji like a lot of others do. Hope that helps 🙂 ... Of course if you can't spell or type for sh-t, you're lazy about editing and/or your grammar sucks, a browser isn't going to help that 😐
    • Sacks are a function of the scheme you run and the quality of your pass defense. Many sacks are coverage sacks because your secondary stopped the short pass and gave your rushers time to get to the quarterback. One gap schemes generate more sacks from your d- line while 2 gap schemes tend to concentrate sacks on linebackers and blitzers. So how successful any of our D line will be will depend on Evero's scheme. If we rush three again and no blitzes we won't be getting sacks.  If we use more press coverage and start 6 guys on the line and confuse the blocking assignments and use more blitzes, stunts and overloads Brown and company could feast. Guys will get more work as they learn the system and playing time as they produce on the field.
