I caught myself thinking......

What if Norman was also on the field.....

I shed a tear thinking about what could've been.

If only Norman had signed that franchise tender when it was placed in front of him.

Instead of refusing to sign it.

I'd say Bradberry is showing good promise for a rookie. Long term, we might end up better off and the last few games, defense has made games winnable. The issue is that unlike last year, the offense isn't scoring 30+ a game.

Whether having Norman this year would help, it's possible but he was part of defensive units that blew leads as well. That and he suffered a concussion this year and with our luck with injuries, he might be sitting alongside Oher right now anyways. What does still irk me is that the most we may get out of losing Norman is a comp pick. We have to be smarter on getting some type of return on departing players.

Bradberry is playing solid. Worley he is starting to come around. He has been burned a couple times early but of late he has had some sloid pass breakups and tackles. Next year I think these two gel and really start holding down that secondary to where the LBs and DLINE can do what they need to do. Alot of the reason last night Saints came back was because the LBs were helping the secondary so they didnt get torched and lose the lead in 5 mins

if you take a shot at a kicker DIRECTLY in front of a ref and then look back at him to see if he threw a flag on it.....you deserve the flag

That is true too, just seems dumb when the play was already done. Are blocks in the back penalties to prevent injuries or to level the playing field for the return team? Unsure of the origin.

He was shallow zone on that.

Coleman was slow coming over. Luckily it was a duck

Bradberry might have made the play on that himself.

James "1st Down" Bradberry screwed up and left his assignment to take a man who was already covered. He then had to recover and was toast. He got bailed out, but it was a huge mistake.

Was it Bradberry or Worley that got undressed by Ingram early in the game?

I had Berman's voice in my head going "whoop whoop" as Ingram made the cut and turned him totally around.

James "1st Down" Bradberry is a target for every running attack. His play is extremely poor against the running game. He was abused in the running game several times. Luckily for him they pick on Daryl "Whiff" Worley too. So, that keeps James "1st Down" Bradberry from being the worst player on the field.

best play Bradberry made last night was down near the goal where he left his WR Cooks and went and broke up the play

that was a flash

His best play was a non-play. The TD would not have counted even if Snead caught it. James "1st Down" Bradberry saw the yellow flag tossed and took it as a green light to gamble. This had nothing to do with instinct.

Worley was not bad on the other side. He is getting it.

Daryl "Whiff" Worley was awful on so many plays. He missed countless tackles.

I challenge you to look at this highlight video and find more great plays by these rookies that mattered than out right screw ups or getting beat. Plenty of plays. Good luck.

Saints vs. Panthers (Week 11) | Game Highlights | NFL

I count in the HIGHLIGHT video:

  • Bradberry: 0 good plays and 7 bad plays. [Includes giving up 5 first downs and 1 boneheaded play.] His new nickname is James "1st Down" Bradberry
  • Worley: 0 good plays and 3 bad plays. He has earned the nickname Daryl "The Whiff" Worley
  • Butler: 1 good play and 1 bad plays. He has some serious problems with his leverage and getting stood up, but he does not start and makes a decent back up. He is better than Soliai, but Love is better than Butler right now. I see him on the same path as Kony Ealy.

How many highlights in the video did you spot from the rookies? That highlight video seemed to be filled with more lowlights for those CBs.

Let the excuses for rookies who are starting begin. They are starting. They are not back ups. Excuses make them look even worse.
