Offense struggling, let's draft more defense

Too many defensive playmakers in the first around our spot, dude.  After that though, I'm good with all offense.

I agree that the defense must be improved for the Panthers offense to be effective. It is just how the offense was built. This offense is not made to come from behind with the passing game.

Question is can any of those rookie defensive players significantly impact the defense?

Those CBs are going to make any rookie S look bad, and they will be little to no help in supporting the run defense of a rookie DE.

The Panthers need CBs who can make plays on the outside and change games. Until that is solved, I do not expect much improvement from the Panthers no matter who they draft. At the very least, the Panthers need CBs that are dependable and disciplined.

Why do people keep using last season as a barometer for our offense. Our defense was also good last season, our defense has regularly out performed our offense year in and year out.

This last month is perfect example. Our defense is giving up less than 17 points a game. Our offense can barely stay on the field. Drafting defense is beating your against a steel wall

Because this is basically the same #1 scoring offense as last year except for the fact Kalil and Oher are out and Kelvin is actually back. The talent is on this roster. That's not really the issue.

You can't use one year as a measuring point, how about you use this year or the 2014 or even 2013. This offense needs help in all dimensions

I think Bradberry and Worley will continue to improve. Leonard Johnson is okay but the team can find a better slot corner in FA or draft. My biggest problem is at times they lack situational awareness. Several times I have seen a DB let a receiver run free so that they can cover a blade of grass instead of matching up

You don't go 17-2 because you are lucky...

and I am not saying we don't need offense. Oline is our biggest need imo. But if you can take a defense stud or reach for Oline I'm taking the stud every single time. That's how good teams stay good. They fill up on talent.

People in this forum really want to draft more defensive players? Really? Are we the Carolina Jets?

What are Adams, Barnettt, Garrett going to do? Will they help Cam develop? catch passes? block for Cam?

This organization and its fanbase has lost touch with today's NFL.

I so agree with this. But the huddle elitist will come along and throw some best player available/trust gettleman jive any minute now and we will end up drafting another lb like Shaq Thompson. Go panthers!

2015 doesn't matter anymore, its 2017 and our offense is in dire need of help.

This offense is so flawed theirs no such thing as a "reach". Reaching would be adding a defensive player that would be another brick in the wall.

The biggest need for the Panthers offense is a new coordinator and QB coach. The offense needs a new voice and injection of energy. Time to provide Cam with the best offensive minds that understand situational football and know how to game plan. Also we are not getting the most out of Kelvin Benjamin and Devin Funchess, I don't see any designed plays to get these guys involved.
