Mel Kiper 2017 NFL Mock Draft 2.0

Moral of the story is there is atleast 10-12 guys that are legit top 10 picks and we are picking #8... That means we have a great chance at getting a great top 10 caliber player... May not be the position or player you or myself wants but we know Gettleman's draft history is BPA.  As long as its a player that can come in and make an instant impact to our team that is what matters.  I personally am on the Fournette bandwagon but don't think he'll be there, then hopefully 1 of the 2 safties (Hooker or Adams) after that possibly Barnett or Allen (if he falls) but don't be surprise if everyone of Gettleman's guys off his board are gone (if there aren't any QBs taken) to pull the trigger on a Mike Williams or Corey Davis or one of the top Corners like Lattimore or Humphrey.   We will get a great player at #8...

This is kind of the worst case I've been referring to.  People keep wanting to talk about Fournette or Adams but there is a very good chance they could be gone.

People are acting like we are picking 3rd or 4th when in reality we are picking 8th.  I keep hearing that "player x " isn't worth the 8th spot in the draft but most of those people can't tell me eight that are, they keep talking about 3-4.

Garrett, Fournette, Allen, and Adams are 4 players that I consistently see in the top 5 of various rankings. So who are the next 6-8 players on the board. (Yes I know we are picking 8th and that is only 4 spots away but one teams 8th guy on their board could easily be another teams 12th especially when you factor in need and schematic fit.)

Hooker ?

Thomas?

Howard?

Barnett?

Charlton?

Njoku?

Cook?

Lattimore?

Corey Davis and Mike Williams are likely in the group you're referring to

kiper is the best in the business at what he does, basically invented the entire way we cover the draft, and works harder than anyone else at ESPN

when someone shits on him it's just a big flashing light over their head saying "I don't know what im talking about"

Only because Joel Buchsbaum had a face for radio. He started Pro Football Weekly in 1979, and I had a subscription 6 months later. In an age where you barely saw the best players in CFB( no internet, no ESPN, no recordings ) a couple times, his information was a revelation. Kipper wasn't the first. But he definitely puts in the work. No matter what his opinion is, I respect his efforts.

I agree about not reaching for a LT at 8, but I do hope we grab Garcia or Johnson at 40. If we can't keep Cam healthy, we lose, period.

Definitely nobody in the first.

Second or later, depending on the player, I could probably be talked into it.

Cam Robinson is going to be great.

I saw every one of his games at Alabama, and he was constantly devouring edge rushers, including making Myles Garrett look like a child.

People are down on him because he had a bad game against a VERY good Clemson D line with a rookie qb who had just lost his offensive coordinator, and had their best running back get hurt.

He is going to annihilate the combine and will be in the discussion for top five and you can fuging remember I said that because I know what the fug I'm watching and the rest of you are subhuman scum who deserved to be banished to watching Notre Dame football for the rest of your lives.

if you ask him about any player he'll immediately know their measurable, what system they played in, what his big games were, what his skills in college were, and he'll predict an nfl system where he could flourish.

if you ask that to any other person that doesn't work for an nfl team, they'll look up what mel kiper said.

oh no he doesn't accurately predict the opinions of the dozens of people that work for 32 nfl franchises what a loser

Because that's his job. We're not in disagreement there.

My issue with Kiper has always been his smug attitude that basically his opinion is the only one that matters and that anyone who disagrees is just flat out wrong - including actual NFL GMs.

Neither Garcia nor Johnson is going to be an upgrade at LT this year.

IF Oher is back to his 2015 form or IF G-man reaches into his matress for some cap money for a good FA, I agree. But we gotta look past this year. Also, Remmers is not the answer at LT! As of right now, Trai Turner may be the best LT on the roster!
